Abstract/Summary:
Global Positioning System (GPS) is a new-generation, satellite-based positioning system which can be applied to navigation, precision positioning, velocity and time measurement, etc. It has been widely used in the fields of military and civilian affairs due to its advantages such as worldwide, all-weather, high accuracy and 3D positioning. Therefore, it is worth researching GPS and is meaningful to the navigation positioning technique in our country.Main algorithms of navigation solution are studied and realized in this thesis. The author's work involves four aspects as follows:1. The positioning method with GPS code pseudo-range observations is studied and the positioning precision under two cases, i.e., with more than four satellites and with four satellites, has been simulated via MATLAB.2. The positioning method with GPS carrier phase observations is studied and the simulation has been achieved via MATLAB. In this positioning method, initialization measurement is used to determine the ambiguity and carrier phase observations in multiple times are required for navigation solution.3. Other works related to navigation solution have been finished, including the calculation of satellite position and velocity, the transition of coordinate, the selection of visible stars and optimal navigation constellation, the correction of pseudo-range error, the calculation of the approximate position of GPS receiver and GDOP, etc.4. DSP simulation of navigation solution has been partially achieved in the CCS integrated development environment.
