GNSS means Global Navigation Satellite System, which includes the GPS from America, the GLONASS from Russia, the GALILEO from Europe and the BEIDOU from China. GNSS uses one or more navigation and positioning systems to navigate and provides Integrity Checking and adequate navigation safety alarms. Global Navigation Satellite System is a new navigation system developed in the1960s. It is in full operation and has been extended to economic and military fields in the1990s.This paper mainly studies the use of carrier phase to improve the positioning accuracy of GNSS receivers. The accuracy of carrier phase is up to centimeter level, and the accuracy of pseudorange is up to meter level. The accuracy of carrier phase is more accurate than pseudorange. Therefore, the paper uses carrier phase measurements to smooth the pseudorange measurements to improve the positioning accuracy of the GNSS receiver. This paper uses the classic hatch filter as the model, to realize the algorithm of carrier phase smoothing pseudorange. However, the classical algorithm has some drawbacks. For example, the initial value is not very accurate. Besides, ionospheric error causes cycle slips of integer ambiguity, which affect the positioning accuracy. Therefore, the paper analyses these issues, tries to solve these problems and achieves some results. Finally, the paper illustrates the state and process of carrier phase smoothing pseudorange and simulates the module to verify the carrier phase smoothing pseudorange’s practicality and feasibility.
