Abstract/Summary:
Management of principal geological data and constructing of three-dimensional geological model is the foundation of three-dimensional geosciences modeling.It is the key to implementing geological and mining information. Researching on managing of principal geological data and constructing of three-dimensional geological model can perfect the method of three-dimensional geological modeling, promote the theory and method development of Three-dimensional Geosciences Modeling System, and lay the theoretical and methodological foundation on developing practical commercial software.Principal geological data are the primary geological data of three-dimensional geological modeling. And they are divided into isolated sampling data, drilling hole data and geological drawing data. The method of organizing and managing principal geological data is put forward. On the basis of introduction to geological item characteristic, its demand on modeling, the task and process of 3D geological modeling, as well as restriction of selecting 3D geological data, object-oriented 3D geological model, its data structure and constructing way are primarily discussed. The core is that 3D geological model is automatically constructed by drawing and connecting series of section polygons according to drilling cores data and geological drawing. The key arithmetic which refers to constructing 3D geological topology model is emphasized including method of transforming between geological drawing and model data, dealing with section polygons, constructing component and visualizing of geological item based on OpenGL tool. On the platform of Window XP, the MS Visual C++6.0 is selected as the tool of software development and the OpenGL is chosen as the main graphics manipulated tool. Management of principal geological data and constructing of three-dimensional geological model trial system is developed. The main functions of trial system are as follows:①dynamic managing principal geological data;②2D and 3D visualizing of drilling hole data such as distributing drawing, 3D drilling hole trace and histogram;③automatically constructing 3D geological model according to drilling hole data and geological drawing;④spacial attribute querying of geological item;⑤drawing of 2D graphics.
