Due to the complexity of social economic system and fuzziness of human's thinking, people usually describe and evaluate the characterization of the phenomena using words in natural language instead of numerical values. At present, research on multiple attribute decision making in linguistic terms has become an important meaning in theories and applications. So many researchers have focused on this topic and many papers have also been published. But the models and theories of linguistic judgement matrices are incomplete , it is necessary to their properties and rank methods. In chapter one, evaluations of the domestic and overseas studies on inguistic judgement matrices are also summarized. Some concepts and operators of aggregating information in linguistic judgement matrices are introduced; In the meantime, the calculation of weights of judgement matrices in numerical information are also given. In chapter two, the concept of acceptable linguistic judgement matrices are defined. The related properties among consistent linguistic judgement matrices , satisfactory linguistic judgement matrices and acceptable linguistic judgement matrices are discussed. The links between linguistic judgement matrices and reciprocal judgement matrices are built up by introducing induced matrices. Hence, relations between compatibility and consistency of linguistic judgement matrice are studied.Chapter three proposes group decision making problems and calculation of weights of linguistic judgement matrices, based on the existing ranking methods of linguistic judgement matrices .finally some examples are illustrated to show that the methods proposed in this dissertation are feasible and efficient.
