Precipitation is the most important triggering factor of debris flow occurrence. While other factors attain some extent and enough rainfall is possessed, debris flow disaster may occur. Based on long-term rainfall data of debris flow occurrence in the research area, function of antecedent rainfall and intensity of short duration rainfall on occurrence of debris flow is analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. In addition, the method of grey correlation has been used for debris flow hazard evaluation. At last, Based on rainfall data of debris flow occurrence all previous, model of mid-long term prediction and criterion of short term forecast are set up.The article is divided into eight parts. The first part is survey of research area. The second part is physical environment of debris flow occurrence, including many factors, such as geology, geomorphology, climate, hydrology, vegetation, soil, human activities and so on.The third part is principal character of debris flow in the research area, involving its survey, law of distribution, main types, activity characters and development trend. The fourth part analyzes precipitation features of space-time change and relationship between these changes features and debris flow occurrence. The fifth part discusses function of precipitation on occurrence of debris flow. It is conjunct result of antecedent rainfall and intensity of short duration rainfall. Indirect...
