Vetiveria zizanioides is a perennial herb of the Family Gramineae in the tropics area of India and South continent, whose roots have scent. Because of its powerful ecological adaptation and all-sided resistibility, a majority of the adversity that restricted plants growth (such as drought, hot, barren, acid, alkali, salt, fire and heavy metal et al) can't persecute it, added to its developed roots, easily planted and effective survival, uninfection to plant diseases and insect pests, it was talent showing itself out of a good many plants, and came out top in water and soil holding. Besides, it even had many excellent characteristics on other sides, and was proved as an ideal ecology-environment administrating plant. V.zizanioides was used on aspects of road collapse and coast administration,ecology-environment administration, degenerate ecosystem restoring, super nutrition water purifying, heavy metal and contamination restoring and soil component meliorating, and it was proved acquiring ideal effect. The research, experimentation, popularize of V.zizanioides were throughout the world, especially developed abroad in area of AP(Africa and the Pacific), it was estimated as the most excellent in the 71 developed technologies, and achieved the"John continuable development award". Till today, the research and application of"VGT"(technology of V.zizanioides) have experienced almost ten years in plant and engineering areas. In this paper, the physiological and ecological methods were used to explore: how to increase the survival rate of V.zizanioides through root-promoted methods, tissue culture of V.zizanioides and propagation methods, the resistance of V.zizanioides to Pb2+. The experiments and results are as follow:(1) Several treatments were conducted on pre-planted V.zizanoiodes seedlings: 1) immersing roots; 2) mudding roots; 3) water-cultured; 4) sand-cultured; 5) rice shell-cultured, and two conditions of water without cl...
