In this thesis, sixty three strains, of which 10, displaying activity against Candida albicans and staphylococcus aureus, were isolated from nine mangrove samples of the 12 and 13 batch. One hundred and forty five strains were re-screened from our lab store strains, of which 77 strains, displaying activity against Candida albicans and cancer cells, 31 strains were selected and identified.Growth condition of the 31 strains were detected in 0 %,2.5 %,6 %, 10 %, 15 % and 20 % different concentration of NaCl, they can grow well in no salinity as well as the highest tolerance of 15 % NaCl. It was showed that the 31 strains were facultative marine fungi that was adapted to marine enviroment. The 31 strains were identified by classical and modern technique: morphological and physiological characteristics and nucleic acid sequences. The systematic evolution relationship of these strains was investigated and some of the strains were identified to species level.Twenty strains (095815, 095821, 094206, 091012, 092902, 094811, 093903, 095106, 090301A, 093701, 095108, 092309, 091006, 092007, 091101, 094102, 095403, 083135, 085242 and 095903) were identified to species level; six strains (085245, 083137, 083402, 080834, 09580703 and 094303) were identified to genera level; five strains (095902, 095806, 085241, 095228 and 090209) failed to identified to genera level.Twenty six strains were identified to 12 species and 5 genus, four species belong to Aspergillus (Aspergillus sydowi, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus awamori, Aspergillus niger) ; Five species identified to Pecillium (Penicillium citrinum, Penicillium expansum, Penicillium luteum, Penicillium oxalicum, Penicillium simplicissimum); other three species belong to Paecilomyces, Eupenicillium javanicum, Neosartoryaflscheri, respectively.
