Helicobacter pylori(Hp), a gram-negative spiral bacterium, is the major etiological factor of chronic active gastisis and most peptic ulcer disease, and is closely associated with gastric cancer tumors such as adenocarcinoma and MALT lymphoma. Current therapies for eradicating Hp depend on the use of combined antibiotics. However the high cost, low patient compliance, and increasing of resistant strains make these therapies impractical on a large scale. Therefore, there is an urgent need for effective vaccines against HP infection.Hp urease is one kind of high affinity, high active and high molecular weight protein .Pure urease consists of subunit A and B. Urease is protective, surface exposed and highly conservative. It is demonstrated that urease B subunit (UreB) could stimulate body to raise immunoresponse against challenge of H, pylori.
