Qingdao City at the southern tip of Jiaodong peninsula, east on the Yellow Sea, the terrain of East is high and West is low, middle dented. Grown physiognomy constructions are from mountain erosion structure to patterns in front of mountain terrain, among mountain, and the coastal accumulated landscape..In tectonic units, the study area is located in the long-term steady Jiaoliao Rise, since the Cenozoic, the Earth crust activities characterized by stability-rise-stability. In the research area, the primary surface formation are the Archeozoic — Proterozoic Jiaonan group there are kinds of Clastic rocks and Volcanic rocks in the metamorphite and Mesozoic Cretaceous. After studying the study area's drills and natural sections, Quaternary stratigraphy can be divided into two layers: one is Middle Pleistocene, Upper Pleistocene Shanqian Group, Dazhan Group, and Loushan Group, the other is Holocene Linyi Group, Yihe Group and Jiaozhouwan Group. In the sediment is, China-update on the unification of disabled Chik-Chik slope, jumping Hongji layer of new-to shore shallow sea sedimentary, alluvial and salt Hongji layer. 4 of the study area is affected by the ancient geographic distribution and thickness control, while the thickness little, but the distribution is very broad.The fault tectonic in Qingdao area developped comparatively,There have five faults altogether in this area,Many of the fault is approaches for the north-east,Minority of the five faults are approaches for the north-west,The scale of the north-east which is most grows in my studying area is big, Their characteristic are the multi-time activity,They also have controlled the structure pattern in the area and even they are provided with the modern landform characteristic. There are four NE faults, They are separated CangKou fault,PiShiKou fault,WangGeZhuang fault andQingdao Shan fault;and the one NW fault is Masha-WanggeZhuang fault。 These five breaks in mesozoic era,Specially the mesozoic era later period has had the intense activity, They have controlled volcanic activity ,the stratum of the area growed and magma intrusion with YanShan later period that time is also controlled by the faults,.Through the study of the controllability drill in the area ,it is indicated that along the main faults, which is the both sides, developed the Quaternary stratum and there are mainly Pleistocene and Holocene ,However it is missed the Tleistocene stratum in this area. Because Qingdao is situated at the east of the Tan Lu fault, South of its peripheralalso developped the Yellow Sea macroseism's movement fault zone, the Zhangjiakou -Bohai Sea macroseism movement fault zone and the Muping - Jimo which is the strong earthquake movement fault zone According to the researching of the epipleistocene fault movement in Qingdao, the area possibly existence the five magnitude of earthquake;The intensity of the earthquake affects may be achieved above Ⅵ.
