The article studies the Internet distribution technology of 3D vision multi-resolution modeling which is an active focus on GIS currently.First, an analysis of different kinds of 3D terrain data is presented. Then we proposed pyramidal data structure employ both DEM and TIN to plots large terrain into small sub-plots of certain size which is matched with bandwidth. Second, we study 3D mesh simplification algorithm and proposed a modeling method of simplification of terrain data based on prior knowledge (can be acquired by statistic method) which resolve the contradiction between bandwidth and large data. Third, for the building's multi-resolution, a new technique of 3D modeling and visualization based on the analysis of the building's projection is provided. Last, this paper also discusses the schema on different Internet Structure based on DCOM.The experimental results demonstrate that the methods in the paper are applicable to some key problems of the multi-resolution terrain and building's system, and useful to quick scanning of 3D scan scene on Internet.
