Geographic Information System is a system based on spatial database, Its main function include data collection, management, operation, analysis, simulation and display, and provide spatial dynamic information. With the development of information technology, the new generation of GIS technology is more and more mature. Its trend of development shows in three aspects as below: groupware GIS, Internet GIS and embedded GIS. The typical embedded GIS application is composed of embedded hardware system, embedded operating system and embedded GIS software. Comparing with the classical GIS technology, the new generation of GIS technology uses the new software technology system, so it is easily integrated, filtered and developed, moreover, it has a low price. It provides a good basis of technology with which the GIS technology merged into other information technologies. As an important function of GIS, Spatial data visualization module provided basic function such as drawing point, line and polygon, with the supporting of symbol library, line type library , pattern library, color library, font library, map can be displayed with rich expressive force.This article, with some actual project, mainly studies the embedded spatial data visualization, the 2D embedded visualization component, together with the design and realization of transplantable structure of the embedded visualization module effectively, based on the theory of GIS, Computer Graphics, Computer Science, etc. It completed primary work as bellow:(1) Aiming at the limitation of the embedded equipment resource, it provides the support to map's rapid display by manipulating the cache.(2) It improves the access efficiency of the display parameter on the parameter's character.(3) It realizes the management of line type library, color library, etc. So it provides support of library to spatial data expression.(4) It provides the translation of logical coordinate, physical coordinate and window coordinate, it gives the support to move, zoom and rotating of maps, furthermore, it realizes the transform of map projection.
