In this dissertation ,we set up a mathematical model of the atmospheric pressure glow discharge and deduce a group of equations.First of all ,the gas discharge equations are obtained from the physical laws and by introducing the new scales ,the gas discharge equations can be simplified used the dimensionless variables. Secondly, the algorithm for the gas discharge equations are studied in detail,and the whole computational scheme is presented. Finally ,the homogeneous barrier discharge with multiple current pulses at atmospheric pressure in helium is numerically investigated.In the chapter 1, some character of the plasma and some application of the atmospheric pressure glow discharge are introduced.In the chapter 2, the gas discharge equations are obtained from the physical laws and by introducing the new scales, the gas discharge equations can be simplified used the dimensionless variables.In the chapter 3, the algorithms SG and improved SG for the gas discharge equations are studied in detail.In the chapter 4, the atmospheric pressure glow discharge with multiple current pulses in helium is numerically studied, the evolution of the discharge power and the interval between the successive current peaks are discussed with the amplitude and slope of the applied periodic polygonal function voltage.
