A typical route that dusts moving along was selected in Tarim Basin, and three observation sites, Yuli,Tieganlike and Hotan were located. Atmospheric natural dustfall were collected by the method ofdesiccated sedimentation, then quantified and calculated monthly by the height. Therefore, the space-timevariation rule of the dustfall in Tarim Basin was analyzed. The relationship between the quantity ofdustfall and aeolian erosion was also analyzed by calculating the degree of aeolian erosion with insert-polemethod in each observation site. Via analysis and mensuration, the result shows:1.The distribution of the dustfall in Tarim Basin was asymmetrically in a year. It was mainlyconcentrated on springtime and summertime, and the maximum was presented to summertime; theminimum was presented to winter.2.The regional distribution of the dustfall in Tarim Basin took on an increased trend by degrees via theway from east to west, from north to south.3.The quantity of the dustfall was mostly concentrated on 70cm-height and 180cm-height, and it wasdecreased gradually with the altitudinal hoist. The quantities on these two heights were distributed via anincreased trend of east-to-west, north-to-south. On 10m-height the quantity in south was still more than itin north as a whole.4.Arenaceous weather had a biggish effect on the dustfall in Tarim Basin because the month with moredust-days also had more dustfall, but the effects were different in each observation sites.5.The earth's surface in Yuli was ascending in a speed of 0.078cm per month, and Tieganlike 0.202cmper month. The aeolian erosion in Tieganlike, the south of the basin, was more serious than in Yuli, thenorth of the basin.6.In Hotan, the south region of Tarim Basin, the content of total salinity was reduced along with height, but other salinity contents had no rule connected with height. There were many kinds of salinities industfall, and it was an approach of the salinity accumulation of soil.7.The content of organic compound in the dustfall in Tarim Basin were reduced from north to south, east to west. Dustfall was an approach that calcium carbonate and calcium sulphate to be increased, butthe content of calcium carbonate and calcium sulphate were different in each heights and sites.
