The graphic method of probability is an effective tool in the field of exploration. Because the geologic processes always lasted for a long period and were very complicated, the geological bodies often were multi-genesis and experienced many building stages or processes. The data got from various kinds of geological bodies always represent a synthetical result. As a result, in order to carry on the statistic analysis work accurately, the data should be made clear what they reflect were mono-genesis or multi-genesis. If the data reflect mono-genesis, their distribution characteristices should be found out. If the data reflect multi-genesis, they should be divided into different ingredientes and then the ingredient data were analyzed respectively. In China, the graphic method of probability is widely used in the forecast of mineral deposit, and many papers about the multi-genesis theory have been published. Software based on the probability graphic method has not been developed yet. In order to study the multi-genesis mineral deposit and its material sources, the software was developed with VB programming technology which can divide the multi-genesis data, based on the graphic method of probability. This software can read the data from Access database and plot in the system of co-ordinate after we set up the group interval and ore grade etc, then match the data with different function curves. According to the principle of probability curve, the data was divide into two or more parts, and then geology explanation can be got based on the diversity of line shape and its position and the useful information for mineral exploration can be got in the end. The Dongshengmiao ore deposit, which lies in the west North China mineralize, large-scale metal sulphur iron mineral deposit in inner Mongolia, was formed in the tensional rift basin along the north margin of the North China platform during Mesoproterozoic. Based on 2200 ore grade data(S,Zn,Pb,Cu)from 8 lines of exploration, 51 pieces of graphic maps were got, new information were achieved, and superimposed mineralization were suggested.
