The leaves and woods of Tilia mongolica were extracted with ethanol. The extracts were partitioned following Petroleum ether, Ethyl acetate and Ethanol solvents. Purifaction of them was accompolished by column chromatograph, TLC and recrystallization. To date, seven compounds and one mixture including alkanes have been isolated from the extracts. Six structures of them were determined by IR, Element Analysis, ~1HNMR, ~13CNMR&DEPT, HMQC, HMBC, COSY of 2D NMR datas. They are Taraxeryl octacosanoic acetate, Friedelin, β-sitosterol, Dauvosterol, pentatriacontanol and Nondecanoic acid. Taraxeryl octacosanoic acetate, Friedelin, Dauvosterol, pentatriacontanol and Nondecanoic acid are detected for the first time in studying of Tilia mongolica. And β-sitosterol is detected for the first time in studying of Tilia mongolica wood. By GC-MS techniques, it is ascertained that forty-five kinds of chemical components were in the leaves of Tilia mongolica and they accounted for over 80.35 percent of total volatile oil. The properties and potential applications of the six compounds and forty-five components against Anolophora Glabripennis have been discussed.
