The Slope Spectrum of Loess Plateau is new effective method in describing the topographic feature with micro terrain factors. It reflects not only the spatial variation of loess geomorphologic features, but also the rules of loess erosion and the developing process in loess plateau. It is more important that it is a new method exploring in physiognomy research in Loess Plateau and it is the key point of basic theoretic research in geography. The uncertainty is inherent law of Slope Spectrum, which directly restricts the application of the Slope Spectrum. The Uncertainty of Slope Spectrum and its existing condition are explored deeply by the theory and methodology of the Geo-information in this dissertation. It is the first work that perfects the academic concept and the extraction method of the slope spectrum and establishes the concept model of the slope spectrum's Uncertainty in this dissertation. Then, The Loess Plateau of Northern Shaanxi province is taken as the research area. The author pays more attention in investigating the main influencing factors of extraction the slope spectrum and ascertaining the existing condition which the slope spectrum can exist stably. The critical area in which the slope spectrum can exist stably is not only the foundation of extraction correct slope spectrum, but also the reflection of the comparability of topographic feature between the local and globe. The Uncertainty of Slope Spectrum brought forward and studied in this dissertation could be prove of critical significance theoretically and practically. The author suggests more work should be done that will be sure to make a great stride in the exploration of the Geo-information Tupu newly developed by Chinese scholars in recent years.
