The water resources is the indispensable natural resources of human production and life, and it also is the environmental resource sthat the creatures for survival.On the basis of the unified disposition of Shanxi provinance, the city of Jincheng spreads out its second water resources appraisal and layouting work overally. Carrying on the karst groundwater resources appraisal of the Sangu spring basin is one item. The Sangu spring is an important mined headwaters ground, to ensure continuous utilization of the karst groundwater resources of the Sangu spring basin, it is necessary to carry through the study of the karst groundwater resources, and it has an important practical significance and profound historical significance to the development of Jincheng's national economy .The paper has treated the karst groundwater resources of the Sangu spring basin as research object, and six aspects have been researched. Firstly, after summaring the past study and on the basic of the Present condition, the boundary of spring basin have beenconfirmed; Second, in terms of its unify and long-term water level, the changeful trend of the karst groundwater of in one year and the annual changeful trend has been researched, at the same time, according to the long-term precipitation, spring flow and the exploitation of many years, the reason of attenuation has been analysed.Third, the status quo of the karst groundwater has been researched, and we pointed out the problems during exploitation and utilization; Fourth, in terms of the water sample of the spring basin in April, 2004, the karst groundwater quality has been appraised, it includes four aspects , such as the appraisal of drinking water, industrial water, agricultural water, environmental quality; Fifth, the paper has researched the karst groundwater resources quantity of 1956 ~ 2000 series and 1980 ~ 2000 series with discharge method and recharge method, it obtained the discharge and recharge quantity of the karst groundwater of the two series,and the it's results have been compared; Last, the paper have simulated the groundwater resources at the use of AQUA3D software bag which is based on Galerkin Finite Element Method, from identify and verify, the mathematic model and hydrogeological parameters of the Sangu spring basin have been confirmed, it also have researched the allowable exploitation of the karst groundwater and the best exploitation of the Imitated Headwaters ground with the average long-term precipitation scheme and the forcast precipitation scheme at the use of the Finite Element Method.To sum up, the paper has researched the karst water system, and gained credibility results, thus this can affords scientific basis on reasonable exploitation and high efficiency utilization at water resources for the Sangu spring basin, JinCheng city.
