With the development of modern Optics, more and more requirements aredemanded in Laser. Nonlinear-frequency-conversion is one of the best ways in wideningwavelength of laser. Optical super-lattices are a kind of artificial nonlinear materials. Itis used in many domains such as frequency doubling, frequency tripling, opticalparameter oscillator. Optical super-lattices could provide reciprocity vector which cancompensate the phase lose. Optical super-lattices has some advantages ,such asimproving the efficiency of frequency conversion, making use of the biggest nonlinearcoefficient. The range of frequency conversion covers its whole transparent wavelength.And it can be designed randomly relying on requirement. Any interaction can bematched without walk off angle in optical super-lattices. Optical super-lattices hasbecoming a hot pursuit of research recent years because of the special advantages.With the development of the technology of making optical super-lattices,quasi-phase-matching was achieved in many materials. Optical super-lattices is appliedin more and more nonlinear optical research areas. The structure of it changes from onedirection to two directions, from single period to quasi-period, even to more complexstructure. So the nonlinear effects become more complex. Analyzing the nonlineareffects and the influence for nonlinear effects by the mismatch of the period areessential.In this paper, the principle of nonlinear effect in optical super-lattices are describedsuch as frequency doubling, frequency tripling and sum frequency. The specialcharacters in the effects are also studied. Different constructions of optical super-latticesare described. In this thesis, the main contents are following:1. Reviewing the development of nonlinear optical super-lattices materials;Conditions of applying and studying in present are described. Quasi-phase-matchprinciple is introduced which is used in period optical super-lattices and aperiodicsuper-lattices.2. Every kind of nonlinear optical crystals is introduced presently. The optical...
