Proteins were obtained with different solutions from roots, stems, leave$and seeds of Jatropha curcas L. . The seeds gave the highest percent of total proteins. Of the vegetative organs, the proteins were mainly distributed in leaves. Proteins extracted from germinated seeds had a noticeable decrease compared with current growth seeds. Little difference of protein extracted from stored seeds was found. Among the proteins extracted with four solutions, the proteins derived from stems, leaves and current growth seeds were extracted with NaOH solution at the highest percent, while proteins from germinated seeds and roots were extracted with H2O at highest rate. The anti-cancer and antifungi proteins (28 kDa and 64 kDa)were extracted by NaOH solution at the highest percent.Proteins were obtained with solutions of different NaCl concentration and different pH values from seeds of Jatropha curcas L. respectively. The SDS-PAGE patterns of proteins were analyzed by gene tools software, the percentage of 28 kDa and 64 kDa proteins were determined. The result showed that the highest yield of these two active proteins was acquired when extracted with 0.005 mol/L PBS of 1.00mol/LNaCl,pH=7.0.After the proteins were extracted with 0.005 mol/L PBS containing 1.00mol/LNaCl from seeds of Jatropha curcas L., they were treated with seriesof temperatures from 40 ℃ to 100℃ for 30 min, then centralized at 15,000 g/min for lOmin. The SDS-PAGE patterns of proteins showed that the anti-cancer protein(28 kDa) was inactivated at 70℃ and the anti-fungi protein(64 kDa) was inactivated at 100℃.The proteins extracted with 0.005 mol/L PBS containing 1.00mol/LNaCl from seeds of Jatropha curcas L. were preserved under - 20℃, 4℃, 25 ℃ for 20 days after centralized. The SDS-PAGE patterns of proteins showed that the loss of active proteins was the least when preserved under the temperature 4℃.The peptides of 55 kDa, 46 kDa, 36 kDa, 30 kDa, 19 kDa, 16 kDa and 13 kDa were induced from seedling leaveswith 30% polyethyenes glycol(PEG-6000) water stress. The induced peptides of 33 kDa, 30 kDa and 23 kDa were determined and the content decrease of 42 kDa and 17 kDa peptides occurred in stems with 30% polyethyenes glycol(PEG-6000) water stress. The peptides of 54 kDa, 24 kDa were induced and 44 kDa,36 kDa were reduced with 4℃and 51℃ temperature stress. Specific induced peptides of 52 kDa,44 kDa and 14 kDa were produced with 4℃ and those of 32 kDa, 30 kDa, 14 kDa with 51℃ were found. No obvious difference was observed with water stress and temperature stress in roots.
