Jatropha curcas L. is a member of the family of Euphorbiaceae. In the last few years, as a drought resistant tropical tree used to grow hi America and the torrid zone of Asia, Jatropha curcas L. has been assessed by several groups for the production of biofuels and industrial products. Escaped or cultivated hi the tropic area of China, the species has a great disturbing area and abounds in several regions.Due to its large number of potential utilizations Jatropha curcas L, a tropical plant cultivated in many Latin American, Asian and African countries, has become topic of various research projects.First of all, this article aims to produce the information about the study of J. curcas L. in panzhihua. In this study, we discuss the distribution of this plant in the area of panzhihua and the features of the morphological character about this plant. Then we go to the differences between several approximate species of Jatropha in China.Second, this study aims to provide data on its toxicity through phytochemical methods. The plant is provided with such properties as molluscicide, insecticide and fungicide by its toxicity through lab-experiments and field trials. Using ethanol as solvent, we can get terpene. Act as controls, the extracting study on J. curcas wascarried out with the supercritical fluid carbon dioxide extraction technique(SC-CO2)-We can certainly reach the conclusion by comparing the two ideas that SC-CO2 has s everal advantages such as safety, highefficiency and less time-consuming. The effects of raw material pretreatment, extraction pressure, temperature, time and SC-CO2 flow on the extraction rate were investigated. The results of the experiments indicate that the optimum extraction pressure, temperature, time and SC-CO2 flow for the maxium extraction was 30Mpa, 50℃, 55min, 25kg/h respectively. The components of the seed oil were determined by GC/MS, the physical and chemical properties of the seed oil were analyzed. At last, We turn to anti-virus analyse and fungicide analyse. The results shows that the extraction of SD has the properties such as nti-virus and fungicide.
