There are some defects in present dynamical meteorology theory .The weakness of the theory of tropical atmospheric dynamics is one of the main defects, in which, malt vertical circulation, the main component of tropical circulation, is still described incompletely. This dissertation starts from solving this problem, by mathematical transformation of description of large-scale circulation. A new description method of large-scale circulation is put forward. By changing the research view on atmosphere circulation, some new idea for the foundation of basic theory for climate prediction is hoped to be provided.FirSX the expression of local vertical circulation is discussed. By changing the method of circulation expression, local vertical circulation can be described quantitatively. The scheme of three-dimension decomposition of large-scale circulation is put forward. Calculation results show, the three dimensional circulation decomposition scheme possesses unique superiority for the research of the tropical and global atmosphere circulation: the feature of tropical circulation can be shown truly, local vertical circulation can be described quantitatively.Secondly, seasonal and interannual variation characteristics of vertical circulation are discussed. The research indicates: the seasonal variation of vertical circulation is the main component of vertical circulation variation. There are several areas with strong seasonal vertical circulation variation in the world, and Asia monsoon area has the strongest signal. The Mid-Pacific Ocean is the strong signal area of interannual variation of vertical circulation. Both the seasonal and interannual variation of vertical circulation show' strong regional-selecting feature. The interdecadal variation of vertical circulation is also evident.Thirdly, the global vertical circulation cells vary synchronously at some degree, and the anomalies of vertical circulation variation show stronger identical regional feature. The strong correlation belt of anomaly of local Hadley circulation distributes meridionally, while the strong correlation belt of anomaly of eastern western circulation distributes zonally. The Mid-Pacific Ocean is the sensitive area for response of vertical circulation to tropical SSTA.
