Study On The Change Of The Normal Reproductive Hormones Of Female Sika Deer In Reproductive Season

For exploring the endocrinal mechanism of sika deer's reproduction, four hormones(follicle stimulating hormone FSH, luteinizing hormone LH, estradiol e2 and progesterone P ) after weaning(from August 22nd to October 3rd ) and during estrus period (from the 16th day pre estrus to the 6th day after estrus)were tested.The experiment began in deer farm of Songhua Lake on August 22nd, 2002. Three female healthful sika deer that was borne in 1998 were selected, and were blooded from vein in head. The blood sample was tested through the method of radioimmunoassay. The result showed:After weaning( from the 2nd day to the 44th day), fluctuant range of the four hormones(FSH, LH, E2 and P) was 1.19~2.73mIU/ml, 2.37~5.67mIU/ml, 1.04~34.55pg/ml and 0.37~0.67ng/ml, and the mean was 2.01 mIU/mk 4.66 mIU/mk 4.47 pg/ml and 0.48ng/ml respectively. In this period, FSH on the 8th day after weaning increased and formed a peak (2.73 ±0.14 mIU/ml), which was higher than that on the 5th day(1.19±0.64mIU/ml, p<0.01) and lld(1.42 ±0.71mIU/ml, p<0.01) significantly, then the concentration of FSH did not change significantly. The concentration of LH(4.92±0.97mIU/ml) on the 8th day increased significantly, then show stable level. The concentration of E2 on the 5th day show a significant peak(34.55 ±15.25 pg/ml), which was higher than that on the other day(p<0.05), but it did not exist significant difference (p>.05) . The concentration of P declined from the 2nd day(0.67 ±0.05ng/ml) to 0.45±0.06 ng/ml on the 11th day (p<0.05) .then on other day, the P keep stable (p>.05) .In the estrus period, fluctuant range of the four hormones(FSH, LH, E2 and P) was 2.12 ~2.91mIU/mK 5.28 ~7.83mIU/mK 2.01-6.14 pg/ml and 0.43~0.84ng /ml, and the mean was 2.62mIU/ml> 6.46mIU/ml, 3.38pg/ml and 0.61ng/ml.During the period, the concentration of FSH from the 16th day pre estrus (2.20 ±0.23mIU/ml) increased slowly to 2.89 ±0.21mIU/ml on the 10th day pre estrus(p<0.05), following a stable level. The concentration of LH from the 4th day pre estrus(5.84±0.57mIU/ml), began to increase slowly, and on the day of estrus it reached a peak (7.93 ±1.42mIU/ml, p<0.05), then declined to 5.28 ±0.37mIU/ml on the 2nd day (p<0.05) . The concentration of E2 show a peak on the 8th day pre estrus(4.50 ±0.59 pg/ml) which was higher than that on the 10th day (2.01 ±0.43 pg/ml, p<0.05 ) and on the 6th day (2.35 ±0.46 pg/ml, p<0.05) . After the peak, E2 formed another peak 6.14 ±0.89 pg/ml) on the 2nd day pre estrus, which was higher than that on the other day(p<0.05 or p<0.01).The concentration of P on the 12th day pre estrus increased slowly, on the 4th day pre estrus reach a peak (0.73+0.10ng /ml) .then on the day of estrus the content of P declined to the lowest level (0.58+0.80ng/ml, p<0.05) . After the peak, another peak appear on the 2nd day(0.84 +0.16ng /ml).Following the second peak, the P showed stable level.In the 24h after estrus, the FSH, LH ,E2 and P did not exist significant change (p>0.05), and the mean was 4.70 +0.51 mIU/ml,6.46 +0.23 mIU/ml,1.12 +0.16 pg/ml and 0.53 +0.03ng/ml.Through the analysis, the mode of the four hormones' change(FSH,LH ,E2 and P) was set up after weaning and during estrus period which enhanced the biology of reproduction, and impelled the improvement of technology of reproduction. In the experiment, the reasonable method of blooding and vein in the head were found.
