Study Of Interaction Of Frugivorous Birds And Bird-dispersed Plants In Maoer Mountain

The paper discusses the interaction of frugivorous birds and bird-dispersed plants in Maoer Mountain. 32 species of fruit samples are collected through reviewing the sites of 10km in length and 5km in breadth. The weigh, dia., colour and smell of all kinds of fruit are determined carefully, so as to compare the relationship with frugivorous birds. Through outside observing, breeding in cage, stomach cut, and feces observed, act., frugivorous birds community is ensured, and 16species of frugivorous birds in total. Birds migration rule and appearance characteristic are studied by capturing birds with mist nets. The result: there is an important interaction between frugivorous birds and bird-disprsed plants in Maoer Mountain. The site of fruit and that of frugivore have the direct ratio, the length of beak is so. The biggest fruit they ate are limited by breadth of beak, but no limitation in smallest fruit. The number of birds attracted by small fruit is more than big one, the number of birds with middle style is in the most. There is a lot of benefit to seeds-dispersal, and birds obtain energy and nutrition. Frugivorous birds are able to disperse seeds only when seeds aren't destroyed. Abundant or scarcity years change of fruit is benefit to escape frugivore. The speed of birds has direct ratio with the dispersal distance of seeds. Most of Frugivorous birds in Maoer Mountain in autumn and winter are Passerine. The autumn of fruit coincide with the time of birds migration, for trees dispersed abroad. The total number of migrating birds changes little. But the frame of frugivorous birds community changes obviously because of the infection of abundant or scarcity years. In the abundant years, the resident time of migratory birds increase obviously in autumn, and they act frequently. In the scarcity years, the number of tourish birds and resident birds in the same term is in predominant, as migratory birds migrate ahead.
