The study of the methods of soil layers seismic response analysis is an important content in geotechnical earthquake engineering study fields now. The technique of soil layers seismic response analysis is also one of core techniques in seismic safety evaluation of engineering sites currently, and it can directly provide related design ground motion parameters for structure seismic design. Since 1970's, some earthquake engineers and geotechnists at home and abroad have been carrying on the study and have obtained a series of valuable results. The results have been wildly applied into engineering earthquake field.Now the programs DENSOR98, LSSRLI-1 and SHAKE91, which are used in engineering widely, are the representatives of the results in the field. In this paper, the three programs are compared and deeply studied in order to find out the difference of the three programs in solving the same problem, which make them serve the engineering earthquake better. The main contents in this paper are as follows:1. The study actuality about soil layers seismic response analysis at home and abroad are summarized, At the same time the dynamic constitutive models and the methods of soil layers seismic analysis are classified, summarized and briefly remarked.2. Three programs for soil layers seismic analysis are introduced. Their principles, functions and the requirements to input parameters are introduced in detail. The three programs' functions are compared, analyzed and the existed problems are simply remarked.3. The results of the three programs are compared and studied. In this paper, some seismic safety evaluation site of Harbin track traffic the first period engineering are take as examples, and the computation results of three programs are compared and analyzed using the existed boreholes data and relative experiment data.4. The computation precisions of the three programs are analyzed and checked using strong earthquake records of measuring-drill's bedrock and ground surface of three-dimensional Xiangtang Array in Tangshan. The differences between computation results of the three programs and the result of real records are studied, and the analysis results and their errors are both provided.II5. The future more works are provided.
