The sensitivity of accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) is often limited by the interferences of isobars, isotopes and other backgrounds. Eliminating these backgrounds is the key factor for AMS high sensitivity measurement. It is difficult to decide the detecting nuclides online in the experiment spectra in time, especially in the measurement of the medium-heavy nuclides. In order to solve the problem, we set up the method of calculation of experiment spectra for medium-heavy nuclides. The computer program for designing experiment condition and forecasting the experiment spectra was built. The main purpose of the method is to fulfill the project design and confirm the spectra online immediately. Nowadays, the work was built in the AMS of China Institute of Energy Atomic.The article is composed of five sections. In the first section the aim and significance of the method was introduced. In the second sectionAMS system principle and backgrounds in the measurement were introduced. In the third section the building process and the application of the method were introduced. The last section is the conclusion.In the third part, calculation of experiment spectra for medium-heavy nuclides was discussed in detail. The contents included designing the program and experiment project. The choice of experiment conditions was introduced in the project section. The program part introduced the process of calculated experiment spectra. The process include backgrounds determination, the energy loss calculation and time of flight, the relative position determination in the spectra and final theoretic spectra.This application of the method was introduced in the forth part, and got a well result between the experiment measurement and theoretic analyses. In the last part, the problem and shortcoming of the method was analyzed, the method improvement in the later work is also discussed.The author with the guide of the teacher accomplished the design of the program. After establishing the method, the experiment project was designed, such as 10Be, 26A1,36C1, 41Ca, 93Zr and 182Hf, and some of these nuclides online determination were finished.
