The water level of Changjiang River under the dam will change from present condition in different seasons after the Three Gorge Project is finished, which will affect dynamic change of groundwater in the middle and lower reaches district because Changjiang River has cut in the confined water layer everywhere, however, it will have a great influence to the whole ecologic environmental condition, especially to the soil's evolvement in Sihu district, Jianghan Plain, due to dynamic change of groundwater. So it is important to monitor the dynamic change of groundwater where.Based on the monitoring data from the Shimatou-Xiaogang monitoring line, and compared with the monitoring conclusion of Longkou district, the paper has synthetically analyzed the spatial-temporal distributing law of groundwater and the relation between the groundwater and its influencing factors in Sihu district recent year. The conclusion shows: l.The groundwater level is high. The monthly average water level cycles with the year and the difference among the yearly average water level is small. 2. Rainfall is not the main influencing factor to the groundwater near the riverside. Honghu Lake has a little direct impact on groundwater, but the indirect impact of which is powerful. 3.The impact on confined water from Changjiang River is depressive with the distance to the riverside increasing. The confined water level changes differently in different season and region while the water level of Changjiang River changes each unit. After that, this paper has also appraised the impact on groundwater by the Three Gorge Project and by the exchange of four kind of water( rainfall, surface water, groundwater and soil water).
