This research begins from March 2002 to February 2003 in primate breeding center of Guangxi Nanning Zoo We collected datum about dominance behavior, affinitive behavior, mating behavior and rearing offspring, daily food quantity and water requirement By studying the social relation of Presbytis francoisi in capativity with All Occurrences Sampling and Sociometric Matrix Completion We find that the significance of social behavior and some relations in polyabdry were discussed The research on food quantity for Presbytis francoisi which can provide science theory for the protection habitat plants of Presbytis francoisi in wild 1 We use the dominance index(Zumpe & Michael 1986) to measure the relative dominant status among monkeys in two cages the results showed that the grade relation of them is obvious The performance is higher for individual grade position, the times of attack behavior is higher The individual grade position is lower, the percent of submissive behavior to receive attacking is higher 2 Presbytis francoisi usually adopts attack behavior which will do harm little, the alignment is threaten(37 01%)> chasing and snatching(31 21%) >biting(17 38%)> beating (14 39%) The attack behavior such as biting, beating is most severe Fighting can cause to hurt, even die The percent of these behavior is smaller Threaten is a kind of ritualized behavior The opposites didn't get in touch with and cause hurt The frequency in attack behavior is highest 3 Reconciliation behavior means that two individual stay calm after fighting The lowest individual in grade sends out the most reconciliation behavior ,and the higher individual in grade did not give reconciliation behavior after it attack the lower individual Moreover, The lower individual sending out affiniative behavior is tallest The effect shows that there may be a monkey which can modulate the group relaxation and maintain the group of Presbytis francoisi stably This monkey may be an individual for the lowest rank in group 4 The percent of grooming behavior occupys total behavior 30 23% and occupys the affinitive behavioral 51 10% Moreover, the analysis of matrices of frequencies of grooming behavior of individuals in cage showed that the occurrence and distribution of grooming were closely related with social organization, dominance hierarchy, blood relationship and physiology 5 The mating posture of Presbytis francoisi all adopted the stomach- back Its mating procedure includes eight steps: ① female proception, ② male mounting, ③ genitals swelling, ④ genitals insert, ⑤ twiching ⑥ spout sperm ⑦ go down, ⑧ laps the spillage sperm Among them the ⑧ seldom takes place Average mating time is 18 72 ± 5 31 The matingbehavior of Presbytis francoisi should belong to mounting and shooting sperm one time , but sometimes appear to mounting many times and shoot sperm one time It is closed related with the body condition of females If females' body is strong, male mounting is generally single time The oestrus cycles of Presbytis francoisi roughly is 22+5 76 days 6 Female of Presbytis francoisi exsits obvious and disobvious mating competition Obviously mating competition comes from the other female's disturbing Disobvious mating competition is the insulation on mating time which can alleviate the mating competition between females 7 During observation from July 2002 to November 2002, we totally record 98 times about mating behavior,The times of female procetion is 95 times(96 94% of total mating behavior), male solicitation is 3 times( 3 06%) It shows that the male hasn't regular sex cycle They adjust themselves to accord to the sex of the female The ratio of female procepting and male mounting exit individual difference The reason is mainly related with female body condition, physiology activity and in company with the male in common days 8 The function of the male is to mate and conceive Rearing offspring is primarily completed by females The male sometimes is in contact with the infa...
