In the experiment, we made the rice variety of Yue Fu as our experiment material. After observing the effect of IPT and SA of different concentration and the mixed reagent on the growth of the rice rebirth seedlings on the condition of high-salt, we found that 20mg/L IPT and 10mg/L SA could promote the resistance of rice seedlings to the stress of high-salt greatly. Besides, we found that the effect of the mixed chemical reagent was better than that of the two single chemicals. It's useful for the growth of rice seedlings.In the experiment, we used one kind of Lipoxygenase genes (RCI-1) as an index of stress resistance. We have cloned a segment of RCI-1 gene by means of RT-PCR and made it as a probe. The effects on the molecular level of the single chemical reagents and the mixed chemical reagent were contrasted under non-stress and different stresses, such as chilling, high-salt and pathogen infection.It was shown that on the condition of non-stress, the control had no expression of RCI-l all the time. However, IPT could induce the expression slightly from 6h to 72h. SA couldn't induce the expression all the time. The mixed reagent could induce the expression slightly from 24h to 72h. Under the stress of chilling, the control had the expression of RCI-1 from 3h to 72h. Nevertheless, IPT could make the expression much stronger than the control. SA and the mixed reagent both could not induce the expression of RCI-1. Under the stress of high-salt, the control had the expression of RCI-l only in 48h. IPT could induce the expression strongly from 3h to 72h. SA could not induce the expression of RCI-1. The mixed reagent could induce the expression slightly from 3h to24h. Without inoculation, the control had the expression of RCI-l from 48h to 72h. IPT could induce the expression more intensively than the control. The expression could last for 3 days. SA and the mixed reagent both could not induce the expression of RCI-1. After inoculation, the expression of RCI-1 gene in the control became stronger than without inoculation from 24h to 72h. IPT could make the expression much stronger than the control. SA and the mi xed reagent both could not induce the expression of RCI-1.According to the results mentioned above, we speculate that IPT can induce the expression of RCI-l in rice seedlings effectively on the conditions of stress and non-stress. Consequently IPT is a chemical resistance inducer. It is obvious that SA could restrain the expression of RCI-1 which induced by IPT and stresses.
