Study On Spatial Dynamic Character Of Population Based On GIS In Henan Province

As an important factor of sustainable development, population is the main object of research. In recent years, with those cases of studying population problems by geographical information system (GIS) technology increasing, population has been vital content of GIS application.According to the data of population in Henan province from 1980 to 2002, the article studies the spatial-temporal characteristic of population condition during more than twenty years in Henan province by GIS technology. And on the basis of analyzing spatial difference and correlation of population, the paper stresses on the study of dynamic characteristic, discusses influential factors of spatial pattern' change of population and puts forward corresponding countermeasure and suggestion for current problems.The first part is preface. In this part, the theory and technology based on is analyzed on the view of demography, population geography and GIS. Moreover, the sense is revealed for sustainable development of Henan. Eventually, research thought of the paper is given according to actuality of Henan and the data collected.The second part is the research development of basic theory. Because the paper depends on demography in theory and GIS in technology, this part mainly analyzes international and internal research development of demography and GIS's application on population.The third part is basic theory. In this part, the basic theories of the paper, which are population geography, spatial autocorrelation and GIS, are narrated. Thereinto, population geography includes population distribution, population quality as well as population structure, and GIS contains spatial analysis as well as space visualization.The forth part is research on spatial dynamic characteristic of population in Henan province. Based on the certain origin of data and research methods, the author analyzes spatial dynamic characteristic of population in Henan through studying spatialdifference and correlation of population. Thereinto, the research on spatial difference respectively analyzes the quantity of population and population quality. For the quantity of people, the paper emphasizes particularly on applying demography and space visualization to study population distribution, which generates map of the population gravity, 3D map of population, map of Lorentz curve of population and map of isograms of population potential of Henan province. For population quality, the paper applies demography and spatial analysis to study population age structure, sex structure and culture quality of population and discovered the characteristic of population quality of Henan province; the research on spatial correlation analyzes correlation of spatial dynamic characteristic of population by the method of spatial auto-correlation, which is convenient for population division of Henan province.The fifth part is influential factors of spatial pattern'change of population. In this part, the author studies main influential factors by major-element analysis and correlation analysis. And the result shows economy is the main influential factor. Therefore, the paper emphasizes to analyze harmony relation between population growth and economic development, and comes to a conclusion that population growth of Henan province is harmonious with economic development in some degree at present.The sixth part is countermeasure and suggestion for population problems of Henan province. Based on the result of research on spatial dynamic characteristic and population problems of Henan province, the author brings forward the suggestion, which advocates to control population growth, improve population quality and configure resource of people in reason by developing economy, improving education level and encouraging population migration.The seventh part is conclusion. In this part, the paper summarizes results and revelation of research.
