In this paper, Climatic characteristics of air temperature in North China in the past fifty year are analyzed, and winter air temperature, current atmosphere circulation anomaly, forgoing lOOhPa geopotential height anomaly and SST anomaly in Northwest Indian Ocean are particularly discussed. Then, the possible principle about that SST anomaly in key sea area have effect on winter air temperature in North China is simply explained. The results obtained here suggest the following several standpoint.(1). There is a trend to become warm in all four seasons in North China during the past fifty years. The first degree increased air temperature occurred in winter, the second in spring and autumn, and the least in summer.(2). It is possible that air temperature will rise in summer and winter, and there is a more remarkable trend to become warm in winter than in summer.(3). The variation period of air temperature has a 16-17-year-period in winter, and 18-year-period in summer.(4). Except for Southwest there is positive correlation between the annual variation of winter air temperature in North and in the other area in China.(5). Winter air temperature in North China has important relationship with the Mongolia high anomaly, the East Asian trough anomaly and the acreage of polar vortex anomaly.(6). There is a positive correlation between winter air temperature in North China and 100hPa (140 E-180 E, 0 N-20 N) geopotential height in the foregoing 12 months, especially from November in the previous year to January in the current year. 61 E-75 E, 5 S-7 S.(7) Winter air temperature in North China has important relationship with SST in Northwest Indian Ocean, particularly in the area (61 E-75 E, 5 S-7 S), and the key period of time is from March to July in the currently.
