The Researches On AFS Theory And The Applications On Fuzzy Query And Data Mining

AFS theory was proposed first by professor Liu Xiaodong in 1995. The meaning of AFS is Axiomatic Fuzzy Sets. It can be used to study the law of human thinking and is easily operated by computers. It makes some of the mechanisms of decompose and composition of human conceptions to be understood with mathematical terms. Also it preferably clarified both the essential mechanism that humans use to describe complex fuzzy concepts that depend upon experiences and intuition and the essential mechanism that humans use to choose the corresponding membership function. AFS theory embodies the abstract relationship between human conceptions using topological molecular lattices. It makes the set up of membership functions and fuzzy logic system full of more objectivity, rigor and unity.In this paper, the problem of the base of the sub-algebra of El algebra is discussed. Based on the previous research of AFS theory, the base of the El algebra and El independence is defined and applied to the study of algebraic structures of El algebra. Some propositions about the base for El algebra are given. All these can be applied to structure analysis of conceptions. The base of sub algebra of ? algebra can simplify the representation of El algebra of human concepts and improve the intelligence of computers.Furthermore, a fuzzy query tool based on AFS theory is designed. Conventional queries can only deal with exact data, and cann't be applicable to fuzzy concepts. Based on a precise database, a fuzzy query qualification is converted into an AFS fuzzy set and then AFS fuzzy membership degree is computed. An AFS fuzzy query is proposed for fuzzy information in fuzzy database under Visual Basic 6.0. It can deal with any fuzzy information represented by the elements of El algebra. Through the examples, it is shown that this algorithm is practical. It can extend or reduce the query results and meetthe different requests. It also provides a new method for other fuzzy database queries.
