Preparing geochemical standard reference samples to mixed solution by acid, which contains elements, content ranging from 10-2ng/g to 10-12 ng/g, and wasused to research the determination parameters of ICP-MS and ICP-OES such asRF power, nebulize gas, auxiliary gas, sample depth and integral time. Theoptimum parameters of ICP-MS and ICP-OES were obtained and thecompromised parameters of ICP-OES/MS for using at the same time weredetermined. According to this, we determined 40 elements in geochemical byICP-MS, 21elements by ICP-OES and 49 elements by ICP-OES/MS: Thesemethods were specialized with low detection limits, high precision, goodaccuracy and high speed. And the results agree well with the reference values.Using Re for inter standard, a method for direct determination of gold, platinum, palladium in geochemical samples by ICP-MS after sampledecomposition with aqua regia was developed. The detection limits were 4.0ng/gfor Au, 3.6ng/g for Pd and 2.4 n/g for Pt with linear range of 0.02μg/g for allthese elements. The precision of 14.2% (RSD) for Au, 3.6%-5.2%(RSD) for Pdand 6.6%-10.8% RSD for Pt were obtained. The proposed method has beenapplied to the determination of these three trace elements with satisfactoryresults. On the base of predecessor this article developed a method for determinationAu, Pt, Pd in geochemical by ICP-MS after Te co-precipitate. Inter standard is Tl.The detection limits for Au is 0.234 ng/g, Pt is 0. 19 ng/g and Pd is for 0. 16ng/g.The precision (RSD) of Au is 6.26%-22.5%, Pt is 8.99%-16.31% and Pd is7.68%-9.44%.
