The requirement to Platinum Group Elements(PGEs) is increasing in China.Finding andexploiting new or potential PGEs resoures is very important and is the essential approach tosettle the shortage of PGEs in our country.Qinling gold deposit was located in thecarbon-riched,Black Rock Series(BRS) and went along the deep faults between Yangzi andHuabei craton.High PGEs contents have been reported in many gold deposits,such as Lamaergold deposit,Taibai gold deposit,Baguamiao gold deposit,Liba gold deposit and so on,in thisore-forming belt.Some progress in exploiting potential PGEs resoures related to gold depositswas made in some countries,just as Muruntao Gold-PGEs deposit,So we need to reknowQinling Gold ore-forming belt especially in PGEs resoures potential.It became possible with theadvance with new technology of determining trace amount PGEs in geological samples.Researched in this paper is the process of mineralization of the Huanglong gold deposit onthe basis of its geology, mineral association,element geochemistry and occurrence of PGEs.Some beneficial conclusions are obtained.Compare with the black rock series deposit in south Qinling,it has a lot of Similarities inHuanglong gold deposit.For example, ore-bearing strata, characteristics of host rocks,magmatic mineralization, metallogenic epoch, ore forming elements combination. The stratabound is a common feature of gold ore-deposit of black shale series. The metallogenicage of thegold deposits is in Indo-China and Yenshanian period. It happened to be collisional orogenbetween the North China block and Yangtze block, thrust and magma activity in the epoch.With the Scanning Electron Microscope and Energy Spectrum Analysis, MicroprobeAnalysis,Monazite and Marmatite provides direct evidence for that the genetic type of mineraldeposit is hydrothermal. It is first that Platinum,Tetradymite and Ingodite have beendiscovered in Huanglong deposit. This is a first discovery of Ingodite in China.It marks theevolution of ore-bearing solution posses complexity and mylti-stages.Geochemical Characteristics of Major Elements shows black rock seris wide source.Material source comes from stable continent margin. The ΣREE content of the black rock seriesis91.55-331.31ppm,Light REEs are enrichment,The distribution graph of light REEs issteeper than the heavy REEs. The REE geochemical characters is similar in Huanglong gold deposit,Baguamiao golden deposit and the black rock series in south of China. The negativeanomalies of Eu showed that the Huanglong gold deposit deposited in an epeiric environment.The REE patterns indicated that the black shale series resulted from mixing of normal seawatersediments and hot bittern seawater sediments from magma. The contents of platinum groupelements PGE in Huanglong gold deposit have been determined using ICP-MS analysis after anickel sulphide fire assay preconcentration.Its content is "W" shape. it is characterized as beingRu,Pt and Pd-rich.With the Scanning Electron Microscope and Energy Spectrum Analysis, MicroprobeAnalysis,PGEs occurs as independent mineral, absorption and isomorphs and it is superconcentrated in three stages.
