The article researched on the organic geochemistry and geophysics characteristics of source rocks of Bozhong Sag. The author analyzed the organic geochemistry and isotopic geochemistry characteristics with the sample data from now available wells to study the organism distribution, organism pattern, types of organism thermal evolution and biomarker characteristics of source rocks systematically. The paper also discussed the organism patterns of source rocks of Shasan Formation, Shayi-Shaer Formation, and Dongxia Formation of Bozhong Sag through various geochemical analysis data of kerogen elements, micrographic composition and pyrolysis. On the basis of the statistical data of the residual organism from respective formation, the author determined the primitive decomposing rate of organisms and hydrocarbon-forming potential of the highly evolved source rocks. The paper finally established the comprehensive evolution section of different formations of the source rocks, divided evolving phases of organisms of source rocks systematically, and then summed up the generation threshold of different evolving stages. The comprehensive evaluation indicated that there are three sets of effective source rocks with different geochemistry characteristics in Bozhong Sag. The author utilized log data to establish a set of mathematical model to evaluate the geochemical characteristics of source rocks in the study region, and had a good result. This paper also determined the distribution of Ro,TOC, dark mudstone and source rocks range,favorable zone is finally predicted.
