In recent years, the antibiotics couldn′t satisfy current demand in clinic since it expressed some major disadvantages just like side effect, drug-resistant and medicine dependence. The target of this project is to isolate anti-virus activity compounds from insects, and provide scientific bases for developing new style antibiotics. The materials of this experiment used Tetramorium sp. (hymenoptera, formicidae) and Aspongopus chinensis Dallas (Hemiptera, Pentatomidae), Antibacterial activity was measured in liquid medium using E. coli (G+) and B. subtilis (G-) as the indicator bacterium. The main isolation method is reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC), the secondary metabolites from 70% methanol extract was studied, in order to search for the new antibacterial compounds or antibiotics skeleton lead compounds. There was antimicrobial activity substance in crude extract of Tetramorium sp., and purified by reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography. Of which five antibacterial compounds were obtained.. They inhibited the growth of the Gram-positive bacteria Bacillus subtilis, but not the Gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli. Three of them were coumarin-liked compounds, the others were amine compounds. and all of compounds were first separated from Tetramorium sp.. of which two of them were identified as new compoundsThe same study on Aspongopus chinensis Dallas and we also got five antibacterial compounds from 70% methanol extracts. Assay of antimicrobial activity experiment express that this pure fractions inhibited the growth of the Gram-positive bacteria Bacillus subtilis. And all of compounds were first separated from Aspongopus chinensis Dallas, of which two new compounds constructure are being analyzed.Total ten antibacterial activity compounds were obtained from two insects. The result displayed that insects contain a large number of secondary metabolites with antibacterial activity, which can provide new resources for finding a new antibiotic structure molecules, there are few study on insect natural products chemistry both at home and abroad, research in this area will give a new idea for the development of new antibiotics.
