Applying the ArcGIS technology to analyzing the feature of soil erosion factor spatial variability, building the describing system of soil erosion factor spatial variability which bases on the ArcGIS platform.Basing on the basic analyzation method of soil erosion factor spatial variability, starting with the present solution and methods of researching about soil erosion factor, then did the systematically research about the methods of analyzing soil erosion factor spatial variability and the application fields of ArcGIS at home and abroad. The major concepts include: basic method about soil erosion factor research; the applying situation of ArcGIS in object spatial variability research; the real study reflect of spatial interpolation algorism which applied in spatial variability research.Combine the ArcGIS Engine technology and soil erosion factor analyzing method tightly, and basing on the carefully analyzing of business requirements of soil erosion factor spatial variability research, and then achieve the design of systems of representation of soil erosion factor spatial variability. It contains: soil erosion factor data management, spatial interpolation analyzation towards characteristic value, interpolation solution validating, each function module design, soil erosion factor spatial variability distribution map in east of sichuan and chongqing areas.
