Under atmospheric pressure the generation of plasma doesn't need complex vacuum system and could reduce processing consumption, it makes more and more attention. The research of atmosphere plasma has become an important direction in the industrial plasma engineering research.This paper simply introduces the development and application of relevant plasma, uses a plasma generator produce the large area stable air discharge, and punctures air gap through the power supply voltage,and a WGD - 8A type combined-type multi-function grating spectroscope measure the volt-ampere characteristics curve and plasma spectrum of discharge. the limited flow resistance in tandem circuit plays a negative effect, and it can effectively suppress the formation of sparks and arc, so as to stable discharging. This paper discusses influence of discharge (spectrum) with the input power supply voltage, discharge current, nitrogen and argon flow and the joining carbon. If continue to add nitrogen flow after discharge has occured, spectral intensity will increase as current increases. When flow reaches a certain value, spectral intensity will reach maximum. In the same nitrogen flow, spectrum increases with input power supply voltage. After adding carbon, spectral intensity also increased significantly. Nitrogen plasma discharge spectrum increases with nitrogen flow increases, it shows the increased of ionization degrees of the molecules, atoms of nitrogen. Argon gas added in pure nitrogen would also make the molecules, atoms of nitrogen greatly enhanced the ionization degrees.This paper learns about various properties of the plasma generator by analyzing the experimental result and laid the foundation of the industrial application of plasma generator. It makes a guess for future research, and continue to study what factors can have an impact on plasma discharge. Emphasize on plasma discharge properties and industrial application research. And makes a optimization of plasma performance combining with laser technology.
