Shuijingtun Gold Deposit is located in the northern edge of China platform, in the south of Shangyi-Chongli-Chicheng deep fault, which is a typical medium-sized gold deposit of Zhangjiakou-Xuanhua ore belt, Northwestern Hebei Province. This deposit has good geological conditions of gold mineralization, mineralization in this deposit is mainly related to pyritization, silicification, sericitization and potash feldspathization, and the ore-bodies are directly controlled by fault structure.Based on the systematic analysis of the regional and geological data and previous work, this paper combines of deposit geology, petrology, geochemistry, fluid inclusion geochemistry and isotope geology theoretical methods and means, identifies the type of original rock and tectonic environment of metamorphic rock in Sanggan Group strata, the lower Archaean. Use the features of sulfur isotopes, mineral inclusions, explains the source of metallogenic material and genesis of the deposit, summarizes the mineralization model and clarifies the deposit type.Research on the original rocks and tectonic setting of Sanggan Group metamorphic rock show that amphibolite rocks, gneiss, granulites and of Shuijingtun Deposit, their original rock belongs to the tholeiite type, which formed in the nature of an island arc and back-arc basin tectonic setting; and a set of acidic volcanic rocks are the original rock of shallow leptite, monzonitic leptynite and light granulite, the nature of original rocks are mainly the acidic volcanic rocks, part or greywacke sandstone or complex components of volcanic-sedimentary rocks formed in the active continental margin area.Research on the sulfur isotopes, mineral inclusions and ore-controlling factors of the mine area, shows that the ore-forming materials of Shuijingtun Gold Deposit are originated from either old metamorphic strata of Sanggan Group or the deep-source of hydrothermal magma, the ore-forming fluid is mainly from magmatic water, magmatic activities provide thermal power for mineralization, Shuijingtun Gold Deposit is a medium-low depth and mid-high temperature hydrothermal scouring replacement type gold deposit.
