With the construction of port and artificial island at sea beach, flow distribution around engineering area is Changed, which will affect silt migration around artificial island, and cause change of seafloor topography. In the coast engineering, the velocity field and the sediment transport play important role in the construction and maintenances. The numerical simulation of the current and the movement of the sediment is necessary both in supplying the information and in analysing the project. In present thesis, a 2D numerical simulation is applied to study the plan arrangement of Huayuankou coastal engineering and simulate the current and sediment transport by the hydrodynamic soft Mike21. In the model the finite volume method discrete of power function is adopted for the hydrodynamic and silt diffusion equations. In order to get a high precision solution and decrease the calculating time, the nesting method is applied in the simulation-that the first model considering the large area is established to supply the boundary condition on the open boundary of the second model, and the second model considers the area which we want to study. The result of the flow and the sediment transport simulation are verified by the data on site. The character of floor and ebb tide has been known, then establishing the model of sediment combined action of wave and current, which It shows that the numerical model can describe the principle of the sediment transport. On the base of results, papers forecasts the long-term behavior of sealine and seabed thickness, which provides the reference for programming, surveying and feasibility.Analyzing the long-term behavior of the sea line would find that, the change is not remarkable, the depth contour won't closed with seashore. As a whole the silting and eroding would be in dynamic balance. It won't affect the hydrodynamic conditions in wide area if programming.Pay attention to the scour-and-fill feature the local area.
