| Wetlands are unique ecosystems on Earth, and are the transition between water and land. They are called the natural reservoir of land, which play a very important role in controlling flood & drought, climate regulation, soil erosion; deposition made land, environmental pollution etc. In addition, being abundant wildlife resources, wetlands are breeding sites and wintering places for numerous wild plants and animals, especially for rare waterfowls. Being an important type of wetlands, lake-wetlands develop from the lakes' edge and come from the lake marsh, but they do not mean "lakes".Plateau lake-wetlands in Yunnan have both plentiful landscape resources and unique landscapes, and being inhabited by minority nationalities, Yunnan owns long history and beautiful scenery. But, due to various natural and human factors, lakes were gradually contaminated; lake-wetlands resources were sharply decreasing; lake- wetlands landscapes suffered destruction. In order to ensure the sustainable development of the surroundings, the protection and development of lake-wetlands is increasingly urgent. Through literature review, data collection, and the experiences from home and abroad, this paper systematically focus on the landscape protection and development of Yunnan's plateau lake-wetlands. The purpose is enrich the protection ways and means of plateau lake-wetland, provide a reference for maintaining the ecological functions and structures of lake-wetlands, and can provide systematic theoretical basis with practical and theoretical significance.The paper analyzes the types, landscape features, problems and causes about plateau lake-wetlands in Yunnan. And then combined with local economic development and social environment, under the guidance of the principles of sustainable development, landscape ecology principles, landscape design principles and other guidance, the paper puts forward some scientific and reasonable advices and proposal for landscape protection and development of Yunnan's Plateau lake-wetlands:We should protect of wetlands'ecological environment and wetlands resources, protect local cultural characteristics, develop characteristic wetlands landscape, inherit the historical context, and so on. Finally, with local economic, social, ecological, technical development, from the aesthetic view the paper put forward a complex pattern of landscape's protection and development about plateau lake-wetlands, which is "economic and social environment for the development of complex ecological systems" pattern. To restore the wetland landscape of Yunnan plateau lakes, maintain wetlands biodiversity and ecological balance and prominent the style of minority besides the wetland as the basic starting point, under the principle which is comprehensive protection, focused, rational use and sub-step by step, the model's purpose is establishing a sustainable development ecosystem of Yunnan plateau lakes wetland, that is agricultural production, ecological tourism, leisure tourism and science education. This model fully reflect the ecological, economic and social benefits of the Yunnan plateau lakes in regional development.Research in practice, according to the characteristics of Cibihu wetland, through the field trips on Cibihu Wetland and the surrounding environment, collection of informations of relevant terrain, hydrology, wetland resources, local culture, etc, and then analyzes the current situation of Cibihu Wetland, wetland benefits and the scenery of wetland combined with the overall development strategy of Eryuan County, propose the concept plan of Cibihu Wetland. The plan around the main idea which is "Clean the Cibihu Wetland then Prosperous the Eryuan", main protect the wetland, complexly development of surrounding areas of wetland, and protect and continuity the local traditions of Bai Culture. In the course of the study, high lights the relationship between conservation and development, and ultimately achieving social, economic and ecological benefits of harmony and unity.
