Water resource problem is outstanding gradually along with the rapid development of social and economic in Zhengzhou city. At the present time, the per capita water resources is only 213 cubic meter. It's one half of the whole province per capita level and one-tenth of the national per capita level . The contradiction between supply and demand of water resources has became one of the important factors, which effected the sustainable development in Zhengzhou city. Groundwater is an important component of water resources. It relieves the need of urban water supply and formates a number of environmental geological problems, such as the water level continued dropping, large acreage cone of depression formatted, groundwater polluted and so on. So it's very necessary to control the dynamic change of groundwater level, groundwater quality and influence factors, which can provide a scientific basis for the development and utilization planning, management and protection.This article mainly through comprehensively collects a long series monitoring data that is five decades. On the basis of analysis the regional hydro-geological conditions, its primary studies the trends of dynamic change in groundwater level and water quality.The study shows that the main influence factors to the dynamics of groundwater level are the weather, hydrological and human exploitation. Extraction of groundwater and groundwater lever date reveal that the general rules of groundwater level dynamic for many years'.Water quality dates reveal that groundwater quality gradual deterioration over the years.In the paper; it uses the gray system theory to predict the groundwater quality. In recent years, due to various measures have taken, groundwater level and quality have gradually stabilized.In the paper, it also uses the DRASTIC model for groundwater vulnerability assessment in Zhengzhou, it plays a good guiding role in the protection of water resources, aims at the formation of groundwater development geological environment problem, it puts forward the sustainable use and protective measures in groundwater resources.
