Establishment And Application Of The Fundamental Geography Database Of The Rare And Special Fish On The Upper Reaches Of The Yangtze

The general targets of the fundamental geography database of the rare and special fish on the upper reaches of the Yangtze are to apply WebGIS technology and database technology, based on the Web datasets products as the main body, to establish a fundamental geography information database covering the national nature reserve about the rare and special fish on the upper reaches of the Yangtze. And establish a spatial database data updating mechanism, the spatial database version control mechanism service system gradually to provide information service for the national nature reserve about the rare and special fish on the upper reaches of the Yangtze and social. Fundamental geography database of the establishment and application about rare and special fish on the upper reaches of the Yangtze uses MicroSoft SQL Server 2005 and spatial data engine (ArcSDE) to built it. The organizing of spatial-data uses the Geodatabase model. The design of database is base on ArcSDE technology, the development of database is base on JAVA and ArcIMS.The paper aims at the management about rare and special fish on the upper reaches of the Yangtze and the application of the fundamental geography database. The main results:(1) Analysis the characteristics of vector data of the Yangtze river channel, regulate the relevant data and processing, making a reserve of electronic map data;(2) Designing and build the fundamental geography database and ecological environment information database about rare and special fish on the uppers of the Yangtze river and a management system;(3) Using the fundamental geography data of the Yangtze river channel to analysis the channel terrain and extract thalweg.The fundamental geography database of the rare and special fish on the upper reaches of the Yangtze need further accomplish during the using phase. There are also some problems to resolve in the future, such as the update mechanism of database, version management technique of geographical database, display the date of the map and so on. These problems in this paper have no further research, we will take further discussion in the future works.
