Solving the principal contradiction in Chinese society,building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and realizing the two centenary Goals all need the support of high-quality industrial development.China’s economic development mode must shift from factor and investment-driven to innovation-driven,and there has been a consensus that innovation must be sustainable.However,the existing literature has not yet paid enough attention to the innovation-driven sustainability research.Under the background of high-quality development,it is of important theoretical and practical significance to study the innovation-driven sustainability and its action mechanism for the high-quality industrial development.Based on the perspective of sustainable innovation driving,this paper studies the macro-and micro-mechanism of sustainable innovation driving to high-quality industrial development,and uses the inter-provincial data of China from 2009 to 2019,examining the cointegration relationship between driving continuous innovation and high-quality industrial development,the macro-and micro-mechanism of continuous innovation driven by high-quality industrial development is empirically studied by using OLS,Hausman,sys-gmm and spatial measurement.These core points around the theoretical analysis-empirical analysis-the logical context of the proposed measures,specific content includes the following aspects:(1)A profound theoretical analysis of the macro and micro mechanisms of continuous innovation drive affecting the high-quality development of the industry.Firstly,the concept of sustainable innovation driving is defined on the basis of the theory of sustainable innovation and the theory of innovation driving,and the concept of high-quality development is defined on the basis of the theory of industrial transformation and upgrading and the theory of high-quality development.Secondly,based on the macro-functional Perspective of sustainable innovation,this paper studies the macro-mechanism of innovation-driven(technological innovation,organizational innovation and institutional innovation)for high-quality industrial development and puts forward corresponding theoretical assumptions.Finally,based on the micro-factor Perspective of sustainable innovation,this paper studies the micro-mechanism of sustainable innovation(entrepreneurship,network capability,organizational learning)for high-quality industrial development and puts forward corresponding theoretical assumptions.(2)The co-integration relationship between sustainable innovation drive and high-quality industrial development is tested from the time dimension.Using entropy weight method,Terre index and other methods to measure innovation-driven,high-quality development of industry,and to integrate entrepreneurship,network ability and organizational learning into the unified framework,the cointegration between the five main variables is studied.It is found that: in unit root test,innovation-driven,network ability,organizational learning,industry high-quality rationalization,sustainability are I(0),and entrepreneurship,industry high-quality advanced into I(1);in cointegration test,the five main variables have a long-term cointegration between different dimensions;The correlation between advanced,rational and sustainable indicators is low,indicating that the three dimensions are well differentiated.(3)Based on the perspective of“Traditional industry,emerging industry and pillar industry”,this paper empirically tests the macro-and micro-mechanism of sustained innovation-driven industrial high-quality development.Setting up static panel and dynamic panel model,using common least square method and system generalized moment estimation to test the direct effect of innovation-driven on the high-quality development of industry and reveal the indirect effects between entrepreneurship,network ability and organizational learning.The results show that: in static panel analysis,innovation-driven has a significant positive effect on advanced,sustainable and not obvious on rationalization,entrepreneurship has a positive effect on rationalization,sustainability but not on advanced,network ability has a positive effect on rationalization,and organizational learning has a negative effect on sustainability;In dynamic panel analysis,the three dimensions of high quality development of industry have the characteristics of "inertia ".Except for the negative influence of entrepreneurship,the other main variables have a significant positive effect on the three dimensions of high quality development of industry.(4)Further empirical research from the spatial dimension has found that:in terms of spatial effect analysis,industrial sophistication and sustainability have a positive spatial spillover effect on themselves,innovation drive significantly positively affects industrial sophistication and industrial sustainability in neighbouring provinces,entrepreneurship significantly positively affects industrial sustainability,and other variables have no significant spatial spillover effect on industry;In terms of spatial effect decomposition,the direct effect and total effect of innovation drive on industrial upgrading are significantly positive,the indirect effect and total effect of innovation drive on industrial sustainability are significantly positive,the three effects of entrepreneurship on industrial sustainability are significantly positive.The effects of other variables on the upgrading and sustainability of the industry are not significant.When testing for robustness,the results of using the geographical distance weight and the economic distance weight are basically consistent with the adjacency matrix weight results,Show robust spatial effects among the main variables.(5)Combined with the research findings of this paper,the paper puts forward corresponding suggestions from three aspects:the formation of the driving mechanism of continuous innovation,its role play and reducing the differences in the development of regional industries with high quality.Possible innovations are as follows: Firstly,the concept model of continuous innovation driven is put forward for the first time on the basis of continuous innovation theory and innovation-driven theory,and the concept model of high-quality industrial development is put forward based on the theory of industrial transformation and upgrading and high-quality development theory,which lays a foundation for the theoretical and empirical analysis of the latter mechanism of action.Secondly,theoretically,from the macro(function)and micro(factor)perspectives,the driving mechanism of continuous innovation for the development of high quality industry is analyzed.Empirically,first,unit root test,Granger causality test and other methods are used to empirically analyze the co-integration relationship between continuous innovation drive and high-quality industrial development.Second,the continuous innovation drive mechanism of high-quality industrial development is tested by setting static and dynamic panel data and using OLS,HAUSMAN,SYS-GMM and other methods.Third,we thoroughly studied the spatial spillover effect of continuous innovation-driven development on high-quality industrial development.Thirdly,the innovation efficiency of innovation network subjects(government,enterprises,universities)is used to measure organizational learning.The gravitation model based on economic strength uses the social network analysis method to measure the closeness to centrality to measure the network capability.Select pillar industries from traditional industries and emerging industries by factor analysis.
