In the context of economic globalization, the development of urban agglomeration economy, and the basin economy have become an important carrier of the shift of the world economic focus. The Yangtze River Economic Belt(YREB)is a typical economic zone of the river basin, and it is also a comprehensive urban agglomeration economic belt supported by different scale urban agglomerations. It is densely populated and has a large economy.Currently,it has become one of the strongest areas and the most important strategic region in the new period. At present, because there exists economic inequality among the upper, middle and lower reaches of the YREB,improvement of collaboration of regional cities, and coordinated development in east and west regions became one of the important tasks in YREB,which has been driven by the radiation from point to surface with Shanghai as a leader, and the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration as a "pole".Since the development of YREB has been considered as national strategy, the various factors have gathered, and the intensity of development and construction have increased rapidly,at the same time, urbanization and industrialization process will further promote in the YREB,which is about to reorganize the land development space pattern. This will bring great pressure on the resources and environment.Land resources were the basis and support of regional development, land resources of rational development and utilization in regional coordinated development become one of the key concerns. Therefore, this paper studied the response process and mechanism of land use change to economic integration in the YREB,and explored the rational and effective utilization of land resources under the background of economic integration, with a view to the regional social, economic, ecological sustainable development to provide some useful reference. This thesis has a certain academic value and practical significance. This paper included many data sources, such as land use remote sensing data from 1990 to 2015,socio-economic statistics data of 25 years, regional and inter-regional input-output data for 2005 and 2010,and land transportation data of 1990,2005,2015 years. We constructed the theoretical mechanism framework of the response of land use change to economic integration in YREB based on the theory of new regionalism, evolution theory, land resource allocation theory, and telecoupling framework and so on,and analyzed the spatial pattern of land use change and the spatial evolution pattern of economic integration in the YREB adopting GIS technology, social network analysis, econometric model.Based on the model of response index of land use change to economic integration, the relationship between land use change and economic integration was discussed using the doub variable LISA model and coordiration analysis. At the same time,we further analyzed the response path of land use change to economic integration based on the telecoupling framework at regional scale and industrial sector scale in combination with multi-regional input output model. Finally, the second-order spatial lag model has been created by combining time and space with classical spatial lag model to analyze the dynamic mechanism of the response of land use change to economic integration.Exploring the spatial effect of land use is conducive to a clearer understanding of the long-distance spillover effects of land-use development in the neighboring regions, and provide reference for rational allocation of land resources and improvement of land use efficiency. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The economic integration of the YREB is characterized by the evolution from weak to strong, especially the process of spatial integration has been strengthened continuously. The overall trend of the economic connection network is becoming much denser, and the economic integration process has been formed by urban agglomeration. From the perspective of economic convergence,it was found that there was an absoluteβ convergence in the YREB from 1990 to 2005.The convergence of σ and β of the YREB in 2005-2015 were obviously enhanced, and the convergence rate and convergence period were larger, indicating that the trend of economic integration in YREB evolved from weak to strong. From the perspective of estimation of economic integration, the market integration and spatial integration of the YREB were more prominent,in particular, the characteristics of spatial integration were significant. The density of economic linkage network became denser, and the economic density of the network in 1990 was 0.0023,and the average degree of each node was 0.418.The network density increased by 6.318 in 2015,and the degree of node degree was increased to 51.366.From the perspective of integrated contribution of each prefecturelevel cities, from 1990 to 2015,the contribution of the economic integration of the prefecture-level cities increased significantly. The cities with high economic integration in 2015 accounted for 33%of the YREB.The spatial distribution pattern was mainly distributed in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration,Wuhan metropolitan area,Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration and Panyang Lake metropolitan,Chengdu and Chongqing in western region.Approximately 56%of the cities are at the lowest level of economic integration. The spatial distribution was obvious, and the distribution was evenly distributed in the west of the boundary of Shiyan-EnshiZhangjiajie-Huaihua.However,few cities located the east region of that line, which indicated that the trend of economic integration in the YREB evolved from east to west.(2)The land use change in the YREB from 1990 to 2015 showed a trend of decreasing of the cultivated land area and increasing of the build-up land area. The conversion between land types gradually increased, the proportion of conversion of cultivated land, forest land and grassland was the highest type.Especially, the land converted from cultivated land to construction land accounted for more than 50%of the total transferred cultivated land. The spatial pattern of land area transformation at different times showed spatial variability. From the change of total land area perspctive, the cultivated land decreased by 5.19%between 1990 and 2015,and the construction land area increased by 86.08%,which was the most prominent land in all land types. In the period from 1990 to 2000,a total of 1.47%of the land was converted. The area of conversion land increased significantly from 2005 to 2010,accounting for 3.08%of the total area. From 2010 to 2015,the area of conversion land increased rapidly, and the transfer area accounted for 8.16%of the total land area. From the evolution of the spatial pattern of land use change perspective, the occupation of cultivated land in the central and western regions gradually exceeded that of the eastern region in the past 10 years. The level of development and utilization of forest land was particularly prominent in the central region, and the transformation of water and construction land was strengthened in the eastern and central areas. The utilization of grassland in the western region was strengthen.(3)The change of cultivated land area in YREB was negatively correlated with economic integration, and the change of construction land area was positively related to economic integration, and the spatial effect of this response was more significant.Using spatial variability function to further analyzed the process of spatial evolution pattern of this response index, the spatial difference of the response of cultivated land and construction land area to economic integration was rapidly shrinking, and the range of spatial correlation caused by the structural space differentiation of cultivated land response index has been reduced, indicating that the change of cultivated land area did not expand with the extension of the integration scope. The change of the parameters of construction land response index obviously increased, which showed that the spatial scope of spatial correlation effect of construction land use change on the economic integration obviously extended. From the point of the coupling coordination of response of land use change to economic integration perspective, the spatial coupling relationship between cultivated land occupation and economic integration was characterized by a few of cities with high degree of coordinated coupling, but the cities with the low coordination of separation was much more.In the view of the coupling coordination of construction land, the extremely coordinated coupling city was reduction, and the high coordinated polished city obviously decreased, but medium coordinatied coupling city significantly increased.(4)The response path of land use change to economic integration in the YREB had spatial scale characteristics. The short-range response path of land use in the region was mainly based on the final consumption and the input of industrial sector, and the remote response path was indirect use of intraregional trade. At the level of the microindustry sector, the relevance of the industrial sector was the reason for direct and indirect land use, whether it was cultivated land or construction land, these sectors were the highest strengthen of land use intensity, such as electricity and heat production and supply, transportation equipment manufacturing,non-metallic mineral and other mining industry, metal smelting and rolling processing industry and other industrial sectors. At the internal level of the regional cities, the final consumption of different economic entities and the formation of social capital were the main path leading to the indirect use of land use.According to the results,it was found that direct and indirect use of cultivated land in 2005 and 2010 caused by the ultimate consumption of different economic entities accounted for more than 80%,while the proportion of direct and indirect use of the construction land caused by the final consumption expenditure increased from 40%in 2005 to 65%in 2010.In the point of view of the direct and indirect land use caused by inter-regional trade, distance inter-regional trade was the main path of direct and indirect land use.The majority supply of cultivated land in the YREB located at the more backward areas between 2005 and 2010,but the acceptance provinces of cultivated land mainly located in the Yangtze River Delta.Meanwhile, the highest net supply areas of construction land was the Yangtze River Delta, and the net acceptance of the construction land have changed from the central and western provinces in 2005 to the eastern, central and western provinces.(5)The land areas change of cultivated land and construction land in the YREB has existed the spatial spillover effects, the spatial effect of the economic integration process and the globalization, marketization and urbanization have significant impact on cultivated land and construction land area. The mechanism of the response of cultivated land to economic integration have different drivers between the periods of 1990-2005 and the periods of 2005-2015.The openness level and market vitality have a significant negative impact on the area of cultivated land. However, the factor of foreign direct investment has a negative impact in the first period, but has a positive impact in the second period. From the mechanism of contruction land peospective, many drivers is significant, such as openness level, foreign investment, technological innovation, labor mobility, administration hierarchy and so on in the period from 1990 to 2005,while in the second periods, land finance and industrial structure are significant. On the basis of the discussion of this mechanism,we further forecast the total demand cultivated land and construction land area in 2020,the speed of occupation of cultivated land and expandsion of construction land in YREB have reduced because of economic integration.
