With the booming development of the digital economy, the deep integration of digital technology and the real economy has released a large-scale "digital dividend".The reshaping of production mode and the improvement of production efficiency brought by digital transformation have become an important driving force for the transformation of old and new driving forces in China. The CPC Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to the development of the digital economy and digital transformation. They have successively passed the top-level design and policy guidance of strategic planning such as the "Network Power Strategy" and the "National Big Data Strategy",drawing a grand blueprint for the construction of digital China, and taking the lead in exploring the path of digital transformation in the world.Enterprises are the most active micro subjects in the market.Driven by the practice of the digital economy and the government’s policies, accelerating the digital transformation has become an inevitable choice for enterprises in the new situation. However,China’s enterprise digital transformation is still in its infancy. The constraints of internal and external factors lead to the perplexity of "not knowing how to transform","cannot transform",and "dare not transform".At the same time, digital transformation has fundamentally changed the organizational structure, business model, and strategic logic of enterprises. The specific impact of digital transformation on enterprise development needs to be empirically tested from multiple dimensions. In this context, the theoretical and empirical exploration of the driving factors and effects of enterprise digital transformation has important theoretical value and practical significance for the high-quality development of dynamic economy and the construction of new advantages in international competition.Based on the research idea of "research background-theoretical basis-status analysis-driving factors-impact effects",this study investigates the driving factors and impact effects of China’s enterprise digital transformation: firstly, the theoretical factors driving the digital transformation of enterprises and the theory of digital transformation enabling enterprises are explained, laying a theoretical foundation for subsequent research.Secondly, the evolution logic and main contents of digital transformation policies in various countries are sorted out,and the status quo of China’s enterprise digital transformation is measured and analyzed by using text analysis method, summarizing the specific characteristics of China’s enterprise digital transformation, providing a data basis for subsequent research.Thirdly, from the perspectives of market and government, the driving effects of marketization of data elements and government innovation-driven policies on enterprise digital transformation are empirically investigated.Furthermore, based on the framework of environment, society and governance, the impact of digital transformation on enterprise green innovation, social reputation and governance quality is empirically investigated. Finally, the paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions from the perspectives of the market, the government and the enterprise.Based on the above research ideas, the specific research framework of this paper is as follows:Chapter 1 is the introduction. It introduces the research background and the theoretical and practical significance of the research, and summarizes and summarizes the research methods, research ideas, research content and innovation points.Chapter 2 is the theoretical basis and related literature review. On the one hand, this paper explains the economic theories involved in the research of the driving factors and impact effects of digital transformation. In the driving factors, individual factors include the high-level echelon theory and the attention-based view theory;organizational factors include the resource-based theory and the dynamic capability theory;technological factors include the innovation diffusion theory and the open innovation theory;environmental factors include the market competition theory and the institutional innovation theory. In the impact effects, they include the information empowerment theory based on the information asymmetry theory, the organization empowerment theory based on the principal-agent theory, the production empowerment theory based on the transaction cost theory, and the business empowerment theory based on the long tail theory. On the other hand, the relevant literature on digital transformation is sorted out, which is also divided into two dimensions: the driving factors of enterprise digital transformation and the impact of digital transformation on enterprises.Chapter 3 is the policy evolution and status analysis of digital transformation. In the policy evolution, the relevant policies and key content of digital transformation in developed countries such as the United States, the European Union, and Japan are sorted out,and the evolution logic and key content of China’s digital transformation policies are analyzed. In the status analysis, the text analysis method is used to measure the degree of digital transformation of Chinese enterprises, and the stage characteristics, regional characteristics, and industry characteristics of enterprise digital transformation are compared and analyzed.Chapter 4 is the driving factors of enterprise digital transformation. On the one hand, the impact of data element marketization on enterprise digital transformation is investigated.Based on the data of Chinese listed companies, the establishment of data trading platforms in various places is taken as a quasi-natural experiment of data element marketization. The progressive DID model is used to investigate the impact and mechanism of data element marketization on enterprise digital transformation. On the other hand, the impact of government innovation-driven policies on enterprise digital transformation is examined.Taking the national innovative city pilot policy as the representative of government innovation-driven policies, the progressive DID model is used to empirically investigate the impact effect and internal mechanism of the national innovative city pilot policy on enterprise digital transformation.Chapter 5 is an empirical study on the effect of enterprise digital transformation on green innovation.Based on the data of listed companies in China, and based on theoretical analysis, the impact effect of digital transformation on enterprise green innovation is empirically investigated.Furthermore, the indirect mechanism of digital transformation affecting enterprise green innovation is examined from the perspectives of environmental information disclosure effect, risk taking effect and financing constraint effect. In addition, the enterprise heterogeneity, industry heterogeneity and regional heterogeneity of digital transformation on green innovation are examined.Chapter 6 is an empirical study on the effect of enterprise digital transformation on social reputation.Based on the data of listed companies in China,by constructing the index system of corporate social reputation, the impact effect of digital transformation on corporate social reputation is empirically investigated.Furthermore, the indirect mechanism of digital transformation affecting corporate social reputation is examined from the perspectives of internal control quality, information transparency, and social responsibility performance. In addition, the enterprise heterogeneity, industry heterogeneity, and regional heterogeneity of digital transformation on social reputation are examined.Chapter7 is an empirical study on the governance effect of digital transformation.Based on the data of listed companies in China,by constructing an evaluation system for corporate governance quality, the impact of digital transformation on corporate governance quality is empirically examined.Furthermore, the indirect mechanism of digital transformation affecting corporate governance quality is examined from the perspectives of information transparency, agency cost, and market attention. In addition, the moderating effect of management myopia, industry uncertainty, and regional legal environment is examined, and the enterprise heterogeneity of digital transformation on governance quality is examined.Chapter 8 is the main conclusions and suggestions.
