Patriotism,as the national heart and soul of the Chinese nation,is the most distinctive national character and the most precious spiritual wealth forged by all ethnic groups in the history of 5,000 years of development.It is a powerful spiritual driving force and pillar that supports and inspires the Chinese nation and people to seek,become self-reliant,and forge ahead in unity.Patriotic education for college students is a practical activity of ideological and political education that solidifies the foundation and builds the soul.It is a fine tradition and political advantage for the Party and the country to unite,lead and win the youth in the glorious course of more than70 years.It plays a very important role in cultivating generations of college students’ patriotism and love for the people and leading generations of college students to firmly follow the Party.In the new era,we should insist on taking patriotism education for college students as the core theme and powerful starting point of ideological and political work in colleges and universities,and accomplish the historical mission of training new people in the era worthy of national rejuvenation.We should focus on improving the rational cognition of patriotism for college students,cultivating the sincere emotion and firm will of patriotism for college students.Make carrying forward and practicing patriotism become the conscious action of college students in the new era.It is of great theoretical significance and practical value to promote the patriotic education of college students to present a new
