Research On The Promotion Of Political Identity Of College Students In The New Era

Political identity is the sum of the affirmation,identity,belonging of psychological state and practical activities of the subject to a certain political object in the social environment on the specific economy base.It plays an irreplaceable important role in realizing the personal value and identity of social members,constructing the legal foundation of political power and maintaining the unity and stability of the country.General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly pointed out that the support of the masses and the strength contrast are the keys to determine the success or failure of the cause of the party and the people.Support of people is the greatest politics and recognition is the strongest force.Promoting people’s political identity is a major task of China’s political construction in the new era.China is in a critical period of transformation and development.As a new force and successor to the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,whether young college students can have a high degree of political identity,maintain sober political determination and form a great political impetus on the way forward of socialism with Chinese characteristics is very important for the realization of the great rejuvenation of Chinese Dream.Therefore,it is not only a theoretical consciousness,but also a practical necessity to examine the political identity of college students based on the new era.This study takes the problem as the starting point,follows the research idea of‘finding the problem,analyzing the problem and solving the problem’,takes the Marxist theory as the guidance.And it defines the related concepts,concrete connotation,basic characteristics and value implication of political identity,combs the main theoretical resources of political identity,analyzes the formation mechanism of college students’ political identity in the new era examines the practical challenges and opportunities to enhance the political identity of college students,examines the development status of college students’ political identity,and probes into the basic principles,objectives and path choices of enhancing college students’ political identity in the new era.Explain the theory of political identity.First of all,through the tracing of the core concepts of‘identity’ and ’politics’,this paper responds to the theoretical controversy of‘political identity belonging’ to political psychology or political practice,and defines the conceptual connotation of political identity.Secondly,it analyzes the connection and difference between political identity and confusing concept,and defines the basic characteristics and main functions of political identity.Finally,it combs the thought of Marx and Engels’ political identity,Marx and Engels’ communication theory,political socialization theory and political culture theory,and learns the theoretical resources of the study political identity.The formation mechanism of college students’ political identity in the new era is analyzed.After defining the background of the new era,this paper probes into the logic of the formation of college students’ political identity,and condenses out the psychological mechanism of the formation of college students’ political identity,namely,interest-driven mechanism,communication assimilation mechanism and feedback evaluation mechanism.This paper restores the formation process of college students’ political identity from four aspects:political cognition,political emotion,political attitude and political behavior.On this basis,the content structure and main influencing factors of college students’ political identity in the new era are further analyzed.This paper investigates the practical challenges and the opportunities faced by college students’political identity in the new era.Combined with the situation of the times,the promotion of college students’ political identity is mainly faced with five challenges:the turbulence of world order affects the environment of political identity promotion;western ideological penetration eliminates the effectiveness of political identity promotion;social contradictions in the period of domestic reform interfere with the promotion of political identity;the difference of network life counteracts the function of political identity subject;the inadequate development of ideological and political education hinders the promotion of political identity to policy conduction.At the same time,the new development of the new era also brings rare practical opportunities for the promotion of college students’ political identity,including three aspects:the innovation of Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era condenses ideological consensus;the efficiency of national governance shows strong practical persuasion to college students;the ’quality revolution’ of higher education provides a good field for the promotion of college students’ political identity.The present situation and problems of college students’ political identity in the new era are examined empirically.Following the logic of the formation mechanism of college students’ political identity,the questionnaire and interview outline were carefully designed,and the general situation of college students’ political identity,the frequency analysis of content structure dimension and the difference analysis of each factor were carried out by quantitative and qualitative analysis of 2597 survey data.On the basis of empirical analysis,the present situation of college students’ political identity in the new era is judged.At present,the political identity of college students is good as a whole,but there are still problems and hidden dangers in the part and there is a deviation between macro cognition and micro judgment.At the political and emotional level,pride and anxiety coexist.At the level of political attitude,it shows the contradiction of recognizing the present and hesitating the future.At the level of political behavior,there is a strong will and a disorder of behavior.The expected goal and basic principle of promoting college students’ political identity in the new era are determined.First of all,clarify the expected objective of enhancing college students’ political recognition in the new era step by step,including individual goals and social goals.Secondly,clarify the principles that must be followed in promoting the political identity of college students in the new era,which includes four fundamental principles:the unity of integrity and innovation,need and reality,top and bottom design,theory and practice.Construct the realistic solutions of promoting college students’ political identity in the new era.Firstly,deepen the curriculum reform of ideological and political theory;then,deepen the reform of practical education carrier;thirdly,improve the level of teachers;optimize the cultivation environment of political identity;and enhance the dissemination of Marxist ideology;the last one is establishing a dynamic evaluation and observation mechanism.
