Research On Political Character Cultivation Of College Students In The New Era

Being embedded with "political soul" and highlighting the "political nature",political character is the spiritual core of political civilization and the spiritual backbone of political subject.It is also the character and pattern shown by political subjects in political activities,and the concentrated reflection of their ideological quality,sentiment,personality cultivation and behavior style in politics.Every party and every individual need to cultivate good political character to provide strong spiritual support for their survival and development.The Communist Party of China has always attached great importance to cultivating the political character of political subjects.Since the coming of the new era,General Secretary Xi Jinping has stressed many times that "the majority of young people must cultivate noble character" and that,"the majority of Communist Youth League members must seriously accept political training,strengthen political forging,and pursue political progress".He has also urged Party members and cadres,especially young cadres,to insisting on cultivating their political character of loyalty,cleanness and responsibility.College students,as pillars of rejuvenation and vanguards of strengthening China,are the most dynamic and creative group in the whole society.They will step into the society and become an important reserve force of Party members and cadres,inheritors and practitioners of the construction of socialist political civilization with Chinese characteristics,and the main force of national governance.Only with excellent political character can they undertake the heavy responsibility of national and social development.It can be seen that the cultivation of political character of college students in the new era is not only a strategic project for the construction of political civilization but also a soul-casting project to ensure that there are successors to the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.Based on the background of the new era and the special group of college students,this paper is divided into five chapters to systematically interpret the political character of college students in the new era by taking the political character as the focus,using the basic stand,viewpoint and method of Marxism and following the logical path of "what it is-how it is--how to do" according to the research idea of "basic theory-internal mechanism-review of the current situation-basic principles that should be followed-practice path".Theoretically,this study can further expand the horizon of the study of political character cultivation and enrich the thematic research of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.In practice,this research has important practical value for cultivating the new generation to assume the great responsibility of national rejuvenation under the new situation.The content of the research mainly focuses on the following five aspects:The first chapter aims to clarify "what is the cultivation of political character of college students in the new era" by elaborating some relavant concepts.Based on this,the feasibility and necessity of cultivating political character of college students in the new era are explained from the group characteristics and value implications.At the same time,from the political character cultivation thought of Marx,Engels and Lenin,Chinese traditional culture’s excellent political character cultivation thought and Chinese Communists’ political character cultivation thought over a hundred years since the founding of the Party,the ideological resources of college students’ political character cultivation in the new era are systematically sorted out.This part lays the basic theoretical foundation for the comprehensive development of this research.The second chapter systematically analyzes the internal mechanism of political character cultivation of college students in the new era,and deeply explains "what is the process of political character cultivation of college students in the new era".First of all,it deeply analyzes the structure system of college students’ political character in the new era.The horizontal structure includes five elements: political cognition,political emotion,political will,political belief and political behavior while the vertical structure includes the political character at the bottom level,the middle level and the highest level.Secondly,from the three dimensions of "other-construction","self-construction" and "mutual construction",the paper comprehensively analyzes the cultivation process of college students’ political character in the new era.According to the spatial sequence,the basic elements of the process can be divided into subject,object,medium and ring.According to the time series,it can be divided into four stages:planning,implementation,transformation and evaluation.The process of "self-construction" can be divided into two stages: internalization and transcendence,externalization and practice,which promote the generation of college students’ political consciousness and the formation of political behavior habits respectively.The "mutual construction" process is relatively complex,covering four categories including the starting point,the middle term,the effect and the end and going through four links of "inputintegration-absorption-output".Thirdly,it analyzes three contradictions and three laws in the process of political character cultivation of college students in the new era.The contradiction is mainly manifested as the contradiction between the current situation of political character of college students and the requirements of the dominant political culture,the contradiction between the elements in the process of the cultivation of political character of college students,and the contradiction between the operation stages of the cultivation process of political character of college students.The law can be summarized as the law of social adaptation,that of element coordination and that of progressive transcendence.The third chapter deeply analyzes the reality of political character cultivation of college students in the new era and comprehensively analyzes the problem of "what is the current situation of political character cultivation of college students in the new era".This paper designs and carries out a survey on the current situation of college students’ political character cultivation in the new era,and analyzes the relevant data in detail by means of statistical analysis and variance analysis.Combined with empirical materials,this paper deeply analyzes the remarkable effect,existing problems and restrictive factors of college students’ political character cultivation in the new era.The overall situation of political character of college students in the new era is positive;there are abundant channels of political character cultivation;the training of political character in classroom is good in effect,and the initiative of political character cultivation is significantly enhanced.At the same time,some college students have problems such as superficial political understanding,estrangement of political emotion,weak political will,confused political belief,and deviation of political behavior,and there are dilemmas such as lack of role of the main body of college students’ political character cultivation,chain fracture in the process of cultivation,and shift of center of gravity in the orientation of cultivation.The restrictive factors are as follows: the continuous infiltration of western heterogeneous discourse has formed a strong impact,and the contradiction problems existing in the social transition period have formed new challenges.The lack of political guidance in colleges and universities has a deep impact,and the immature political psychology of college students has become an obstacle.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the basic observance of strengthening the political character cultivation of college students in the new era,and answers "how to strengthen the political character cultivation of college students in the new era" from the theoretical level.The goal of political character cultivation of college students in the new era is to establish the political ambition of strengthening the country and enriching the people,temper the political soul of absolute loyalty and train the political ability of doing business and undertaking the political mission of national rejuvenation.The four basic principles,including the principle of theory and practice,that of systematic and targeted coordination,that of explicit and implicit teaching,and that of heteronomy and self-discipline regulate the basic trend of political character cultivation of college students in the new era.The basic methods include theoretical education method,cultural edification method,psychological adjustment method and practical exercise method.The fifth chapter comprehensively constructs the practical path of strengthening the cultivation of political character of college students in the new era,and answers the question of "How to strengthen the cultivation of political character of college students in the new era" from the practical level.From the perspective of "other construction",this paper puts forward five ways to cultivate college students’ political character: strengthening the leadership of the Communist Party of China and building the cultivation mode of "center traction",strengthening the construction of main channels to create "two-wheel drive" training classroom,singing the main melody well and creating a "three-dimensional linkage" training environment,strengthening the main position and build "four in one" training platform and finally building a strong main force and selecting teachers with both political integrity and professional competence.From the perspective of "self-construction",this paper puts forward four countermeasures: recognizing the potential political role and forming the subjective will of self-discipline,adjusting spontaneous political psychology and forming subject rationality,carrying out conscious political participation and taking the initiative to carry out political practice and finally actively carrying out political physical examination and forming the subject reflection.From the perspective of "mutual construction",this paper puts forward three ways: the political subject changinges in the same direction to promote the maximization of the joint force of political character cultivation,cultivation mechanism being coordinated to ensure the optimization of political quality training process and internal system and external system promoting each other to achieve the best effect of political quality cultivation.
