Research On Promoting Lei Feng’s Spirit In The New Era

The course of the CPC’s centenary struggle forms the spiritual system of Chinese Communists and provides powerful spiritual impetus for the CPC to realize its second centenary Goal.As an important part of the spiritual spectrum of CPC,the spirit of Lei Feng is the concentrative presentation of the political Integrity and fine conduct of Chinese Communists.In the process of moving toward the second centenary goal,the promotion of Lei Feng is of great theoretical and practical significance it can pass on the spirit of the Communists,to flourish the advanced culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and to foster successors of the times who will take up the great responsibility of national rejuvenation.This paper,based on a large amount of relevant literature,takes the promotion of the spirit of Lei Feng in the new era as the research object.In this paper,the development of promoting the spirit of Lei Feng is systematically examined,the connotation,goals and principles of promoting Lei Feng spirit in the new era is comprehensively elaborated,and on this basis,the ways and countermeasures for promoting the spirit of Lei Feng from the perspective of youth as well as the whole society is put forward.This paper consists of five parts:The first part is the literature review of the development of Lei Feng’s spirit.As a product of The Times,the formation of Lei Feng spirit is based on Lei Feng’s personal growth and MAO Zedong’s call to "learn from Comrade Lei Feng".At the same time,New China,in the period of socialist construction,not only needs to strengthen people’s spirit to tackle the challenges of complex international relations,but also needs to fully promote the people’s spirit of hard struggle to carry out socialist construction.On the whole,the development stages of carrying forward the spirit of Lei Feng can be divided into three stages: the initiation of "learning from Comrade Lei feng",carrying forward the spirit of Lei Feng since the reform and opening up policy,and the spirit of Lei Feng during the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics.The second part expounds the necessity of carrying forward the spirit of Lei Feng in the new era.In order to fully understand the current state of carrying forward the spirit of Lei Feng among people of different ages and occupations,this paper compiled a questionnaire entitled Carrying forward the Spirit of Lei Feng in the New Era.The survey found that the overall situation of carrying forward the spirit of Lei Feng in the new era is good,and the vast majority of respondents understand and agree with the spirit of Lei Feng,can actively participate in the activities of learning from Lei Feng,so that they can practice Lei Feng’s spirit with Actual deeds.However,there are still a small number of respondents showed a low level of practicing Lei Feng’s spirit.In the new era and new journey,strengthening the education of Marxist belief,practicing the fundamental purpose of CPC,and cultivating and practicing core socialist values are the inexorable requirements for carrying forward the spirit of Lei feng.The third part elaborates the connotation,goal and principle of carrying forward the spirit of Lei Feng in the new era.As General Secretary Xi Jinping puts it,“The spirit of Lei Feng is eternal” “Everyone can learn from the spirit of Lei Feng” “Writing the Story of Lei Feng in the New Era with Practical Actions”.As the guiding ideology,the series speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping profoundly interpreted the connotation and time value of Lei Feng spirit,and clarified the main task of enhancing Lei Feng spirit.Enhancing the Spirit of Lei Feng requests us to promote the advanced culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics,cultivate successors for the task of national rejuvenation,and foster healthy social conduct.and take them as the main goal of the new era to carry forward the Lei Feng’s spirit.Besides,we should conform to the unity between theory and practice,between inheritance and innovation,between the mass and demonstration as well as between the dominant and subjectivity,thus enhance the pertinence and effectiveness of carrying forward the Lei Feng’s spirit.The fourth part puts forward the way to carry forward the spirit of Lei Feng for the juveniles.Juveniles are a generation who grow up with with the new era and shoulder important missions and responsibilities.therefore cultivating the spirit of Lei Feng among them is of great significance.First,we should accurately grasp the important content of Lei Feng’s spiritual education in the new era,and constantly enrich and improve the content system of Lei Feng’s spiritual education by strengthening the education of hardworking spirit,Labor view,patriotism and excellent Chinese traditional culture.The second is to integrate the spirit of Lei Feng into the classroom,by promoting the incorporation of the spirit of Lei Feng into ideological and political courses and into curriculum thoughts and politics.We can carry out Learn from Lei Feng voluntary services by making full use of second classroom.Third,Lei Feng spirit can be drawn out in the form of art through some ceremonies and important activities.It can also be rendered as a volunteer service brand by fully utilizing museums and exhibition centers,thus constantly innovate the methods and means of Lei Feng publicity and education.The fifth part puts forward the countermeasures to carry forward the spirit of Lei Feng.To construct the social environment of Lei Feng Spirit in the new era,the institutional construction should be taken as the starting point,among which strengthening the construction of cyberspace,flourishing the culture of Lei Feng and creating a good social environment to carry forward the spirit of Lei Feng are the factors worth great effort.The first step is to incorporate the promotion of Lei Feng spirit into the constitutional construction by reinforcing the leader mechanism,improving the voluntary service mechanism as well as the incentive and guidance mechanism.The second step is to strengthen the construction of cyberspace.Mainstream media should take the responsibility of strengthening publicity and guidance,while new media carrying out activities to learn from Lei Feng.At the same time,online volunteer service platforms should be built.Thirdly,Lei Feng culture should be constantly flourishing by methods as making full use of its cultural resources,optimizing its social environment and cultivating and shaping its culture.Fourth,we need to create a good social environment for carrying forward the spirit of Lei Feng by forming an atmosphere in which Party members and cadres take the lead,meanwhile people learn from Lei Feng,and carry forward the fine traditional virtues of the Chinese nation,thus promote the implementation of socialist core values in a detailed,precise,and effective manner via promoting the spirit of Lei Feng.
