| In the context of rural economic, social and political change, the interests and political opinions of farmers highlight the importance of their political participation. As an important part of peasants’ political participation, the degree and level of villagers’ self-government participation not only directly restricts the settlement of "farmer" problem, but also affects the process of political democratization in China, which is crucial for promoting the political stability and democratic development of China. To reveal the current situation and the specific behavior of the villagers ’autonomy, and discuss the impact mechanism of the villagers’autonomy, and to provide the basis for the participation of the villagers, this article is based on the logic of the question--the theory analysisthe empirical analysis--solving the problem.Based on the research purpose, this article summarizes the villager autonomy participation behavior,on the basis of related literature and the important theory of the core concepts of the involved in the process of villagers’ autonomy is defined, and build the driving mechanism of rural residents to participate in villagers’ autonomy behavior theory model, and the relationship between the variables in the model assumptions.According to the theory of planned behavior variable measurement method, design of research involving variable scale, compiled the "rural villagers autonomy behavior influencing factors questionnaire",and according to the random stratified sampling method,400 interviewees were surveyed in three counties(districts)in Pingyuan county,Dingtao district, and Yinan county,Shandong province.Statistical analysis of current status of rural residents to participate in villagers’ autonomy behavior, discusses the specific construction influence of group characteristics of participation behavior,Based on the structural equation model and the multivariate linear regression model, the effects of psychological cognitive variables and class status variables on the participation behavior of each dimension were studied. Finally,it puts forward feasible policy suggestions based on the comparison of the influence factors of different types of villagers’ autonomous participation. The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:Research Content 1:Rural Residents Participate in the Status Quo of Villagers’ Autonomy. From the perspective of participation willingness, psychologicalcognitive factor and behavior, the author makes a descriptive statistics on the participation of villagers’ autonomy in rural residents. The study finds that the participation of democratic election and democratic decision-making is better, and the participation level of democratic supervision and democratic management is lower.Rural residents are able to correctly understand the connotation of villagers’ autonomy and the positive results generated. The subjective norm of villager autonomy and the control of perceptual behavior are at medium level.Research Content 2:Group Characteristics of Rural Residents to Participate in Villagers’ Autonomy.Examining the differences in villagers’ autonomy participation behaviors in individual characteristics, village characteristics and other aspects through single factor analysis method and variance analysis method. The result shows that, men are more involved in democratic elections, young adults have a higher participation rate of democratic decision-making,the young generation of rural residents has low participation in democratic management, rural residents who have experience in village cadre show higher participation in the participation of villagers’ autonomy in all dimensions, rural migrant workers show low participation in democratic supervision and participation in democratic management. In terms of village features, with the increasing village finances, the participation rate of rural residents in democratization management generally shows a trend of decreasing first and then rising. The democratic election participation rate of rural residents in small-scale villages is significantly higher than that of higher-scale villages.Rural residents in larger villages have a low degree of democratic supervision.Whether the village is smaller or larger is not conducive to democratic management participation of rural residents.Research Content 3:The Influence of Psychological Factors on Villagers’ Autonomy.Using structural equation model to analyze the influence of psychological factors on villagers’ Autonomy. The study finds that there are differences in the factors of psychological cognition of villagers’autonomy among villagers in different categories.Support from important people and institutions around them helps rural residents participate in democratic elections.Positive evaluation of the ability and condition of participation in villagers’ autonomy can promote democratic decision-making and democratic supervision.Research Content 4:The Regulatory Effect of Strata Status on Villagers’ Autonomy.Using multiple linear regression method to analyze the regulatory effect of strata status on villagers’ autonomy. The study found that in the process of transforming the willingness to participate in democratic elections, class status does not play a regulatory role.Under the premise of other conditions unchanged, with the increase in the status of subjective social classes, the likelihood of participation in transforming democratic decision-making behavior will decrease.Subjective social class status, status of income class, and status of education class all play a positive regulatory role in the process of converting willingness to participate in democratic supervision.Subjective economic class status will increase the willingness to participates’ enhancement to democratic management behavior.Research Content 5:There are Differences in the Influencing Factors of Villagers’ Autonomy Among Different Types.Individual characteristics and village characteristics have different effects on the villagers’ autonomy of different types of villagers. The influence of psychological cognitive factors on democratic decision-making behavior and democratic supervision behavior is relatively closed and the logic of the influence of democratic election behavior and democratic management behavior is more similar.Different variables have different effects on villagers’ autonomy in different dimensions.Strata status does not play a regulatory role in transforming the willingness to participation in democratic elections but does highest positive regulation of the transformation of democratic supervision behavior. It will limit the conversion of democratic decision-making behavior to a certain extent.According to the research conclusion, the countermeasures of promoting villagers’ autonomy in rural areas are suggested as follows:(1)To promote the balanced development of all dimensions of villagers’ autonomy and to focus on the participation of democratic supervision and democratic management.(2)Concerned about the participation of villagers’ autonomy in key groups, and carried out diversified participation incentives.(3)Strengthened the propaganda and mobilization of villagers’autonomy and to raise the level of psychological cognition of rural residents.(4)To increase supporting for villagers’ autonomy organizations and play a positive role in social capital.(5)Improve the economic, education and other basic conditions of villagers’ autonomy. |
